This has not been a great experience
This has not been a great experience. I’ll preface it by saying we love our puppy, thankfully.
Like with so many others, the initial experiences were great, however, it went downhill from there.
After purchase, we were told that there was no travel available in November so I would have to pay an additional holding fee. Spoiler alert: I refused as this was not disclosed to me prior to purchase. They thankfully did let that go.
My puppy, in all pictures, was dark chocolate brown and white. Fluffy, healthy looking and beautiful. I never received a video or updated pictures though the app kept notifying me that new media was available and the reps kept claiming the same thing. New media was NEVER shared.
When o received our puppy, he was not dark chocolate brown and white. He is AMBER and white. The only reason I believe it’s the same puppy is because of a birthmark on his nose that was visible in the old photos. So, it is evident that his pictures were photoshopped to make him look like he was a different color.
He was also skinny and dirty and his coat was matted. When we took him to the vet, he had an ear infection. After reading these horror stories I realize it could have been so much worse. Puppyspot is giving me the runaround about reimbursement by saying that the invoice does not show as “paid” even though I sent them the receipts. We also use Banfield which puppyspot knows full well requires payment at the time of service 🙄
He was so smelly, our groomed washed him 4 times and STILL could not get the smell out on his first visit.
Finally, we received his wisdom panel results and found his dna to be 12.5% “other”. As mentioned in several reviews, these dogs are very expensive, too expensive to arrive in poor condition, not matching descriptions, with illness, and not the breeds as advertised.
Again, we love our puppy, thankfully, but it definitely was not what we expected to get for the price that we paid.

Puppyspot and breeder in Indiana at blame…
Bought a Bernedoodle from an Indiana breeder for $2,700 plus $900. airfare. Had him exams by our vet and he found giardia in his stool. Then diarrhea.
I have had six dogs prior to this “Ori” and he is the only dog who so far is untrainable. Cute but won’t learn.
Please get your dog locally and not through PuppySpot and that breeder in Indiana who I am betting had this dog returned to him and that is why he was 6 months old. Kris Wood

We are happy to report that a member of our management team was able to connect with Ms Wood and help here with her concerns about her new puppy. We were able help learn about her puppy's breeder and help understand that she is the first and only owner of her puppy. Older puppies can sometimes take a little more training and work to integrate into a new home and we provided Ms Wood assistance with that and we are glad everything is moving in the right direction. We look forward to hearing good things about Ms Wood and her puppy in the future.

Hidden health problems on puppy
Hi, we used puppyspot to search for a great German Shepherd. Which we found promising health guarantees from head to tail when we finally received Daisy with all other hidden expenses, we had 3 days to get her a health check up we had to find a vet right away so we did that plus blood DNA test on her. As the time came on we received her at almost 4 months old. We at this time were welcoming her, learning her, adapting to her, building a bond with her, and while playing with her, she had a limp on her left rear leg at times yelping of pain and just go to immediately sit and lick her that area, we did not know what was up so we thought she may have stepped wrong but always happened when she would run or try to jump on the couch. So I took her to the vet with my dog at ten months old, found out she has Hip Dysplasia and would cost $10,000+ for surgery to help her have a better life of less pain but the arthritis will still come in and cause pain and she will still need shots always. We did what puppyspot instructed to have vet send them diagnosis and x-rays. They said once we pay for the $10,000 surgery that they will give us $2700. We paid more than that. They said that that is one vet's opinion so in other words they said, no, pick a vet of your choice here and I'll do that but Manuel (manager) was backing out of that part. I'm on a fixed income my dog can't run at a puppy or grown up dog's speed without pain nor jump. Her hip was not fully developed per X-rays and they don't lie. She wouldn't be able to breed cause of injury or passing it on to her pups and she now can't go to home protection training because of the severe hip dysplasia at young age. Manuel at puppyspot said we can return her and we can find her another home. I have so many other things puppyspot has not fulfilled in their contracts without many calls to them chasing for results. They sell dogs for profit and truly not looking out for us, selling us dogs with hidden problems and when you share the situation to them, they back peddle. If you would like to know more or have some good advice for us, contact me. Bill 925-238-1480. Thank you.

PUPPY HAD GIARDIA
Look, you want an expensive website that gets you an adorable puppy and puppyspot delivers that. However, my puppy came with Giardia at 3 months of age and had it until he was 7 months old (horrible breeder). Puppy was anxious and very nervous which means he was probably neglected by the breeder. He is now 11 months of age and is healthy with me (thanks in no part at all to puppyspot). I always got calls from asian ladies after my purchase from puppyspot asking me about my dog and it frustrated me because they sent me a sick dog and didn’t offer to help but merely called to check in multiple times. I had to care for a sick puppy as a graduate student. I HIGHLY recommend you look for a breeder who you can contact, as i only got the breeders phone number after arrival of my puppy and they did not respond when i informed them of his giardia as the rest of his litter would have it too. For convenience 10/10, overall experience though would be 6/10 being very generous for the price they charge.

Great idea, poor communication
As with everything there is good and bad. First the good. I was able to look at many puppies online and to choose the one I really wanted. The puppy I chose came to my home healthy and happy. I really believe my puppy came from a good breeder and one that I wouldn't have known about or had access to without PuppySpot. She appears to have had proper veterinary care with documentation. PuppySpot eliminates your risk to all the scams that take your reservation money and never provide an animal. Now for the bad. Way, way way overpriced for the service provided. I was promised great communication and service what I got was long wait times on hold before the calls dropped, no response from emails, incorrect information from the online chat service. Unfulfilled promises and missed expectations. I got a flight number and date of arrival from Puppyspot after I paid, that is about the extent of the useful communication. I had to do my own research to track the plane via FlightAware to find out when to expect the puppy. The only pictures I received were those on the website when the puppy was 8 weeks old. She arrived at 12 weeks old not looking like she did in the previous pictures as one would expect. However, I was told to expect new pictures every 2 weeks and although promised to be coming soon that never happened.
Forget about all the other promises of service and communication, you probably won't get that. I didn't.
If you want to pick your puppy from a very large catalog and get a happy, healthy animal and don't care about cost. PuppySpot will do a good job for you.

I read the bad reviews, but went ahead…
I read the bad reviews, but went ahead anyway. Yes, they call several times a day - until they get your money. I spent a couple weeks asking for updated photos and a video. Nothing - just promises. Down to the wire, late at the night, the chaperone was to fly out the next day with my puppy, I gave them an ultimatum - I would not allow the puppy to board the flight without a video.
You guessed it - the video was a different puppy. It was one of the siblings. My Chiweenie puppy, Darla, was "gone" and I was never contacted. Then the breeder offered me a discount on the other puppy! If I had not given the ultimatum, he would have sent the other puppy!!! No way.
We had family coming for Christmas, some with engraved presents. I had purchased ALL the items for Darla's arrival.
I have retained counsel and filed a lawsuit under "Misrepresentation and Concealment: Consumer Protection" with 5 counts - attempt to commit fraud, fraud, misrepresentation, concealment and monetary/emotional damages.
--------Decided to edit after seeing there are 12 PAGES!! of 1 star reviews. Look at how many of the 5 star reviews are "invited"
---------In response to the PuppySpot response
You are sorry I did not get the puppy I desired!! What? This was not a lottery. I paid for a certain puppy with the name Darla and dachshund markings. The breeder sold her to someone else and tried to pawn off the sibling Feebs with black and white and a muddy face on me. I am sure this puppy makes a fine pet but is NOT THE PUPPY I PURCHASED FOR $2600!! Even tho I can get a Chiweenie for $250 from most breeders. We still miss her. It ruined our Christmas. Read the other reviews - we are not alone. If you don't care what dog or even breed they ship to you, then you will do fine with P(O)S. Just don't fall in love with a photo because chances are the breeder will sell that one out from under you.

We regret that Lynn did not get the experience she desired from PuppySpot. We do sincerely apologize for the situation that led to her puppy not being available. We wish her the very best in her search for a puppy.

LabraDoodle
Got a great Labradoodle from this company. Everything was seamless and easy. The only thing is that it is very expensive (the pup-pack was a waste of money, extremely overpriced(179) and the delivery price is outrageous (900) . Puppyspot is definitely making a lot of money as the MiddleMan. The puppy was delivered clean and happy. It took about 3-4 weeks to get the puppy (Ordered Nov 10th- Arrived Dec 5th/puppy was already 8 weeks). Would probably use again if I had too but I honestly preferred getting dogs from the shelter to be honest.
