We recently purchased a Great Dane from The Puppy Spot. The process was easy, and the staff was excellent to communicate with regarding any questions and concerns I had with the dog. My dog was shipped via cargo airlines, The puppy spot was able to give you full details on my pet’s flight and incoming status and address for pet pick up at the airport. The dog arrived happy and with all his paperwork that you need and details for vet. They also had an extra bag of food just in case of flight delays etc which was good thinking on their part. Make sure you have products to bathe your pet, he was a little stinky from his travels being a puppy. All worked out great Regards, Trish F

Definitely told multiple stories. Was told the puppy was being flown and we would be given a crate. No call puppy was driving in a truck for 20 hours without being removed from the crate. No crate provided so we had nothing at pick up. Also charged $188 for a "puppy pack" of stuff we didn't need nor want but wasn't told what it was - bowls, a blanket, a toy - we didn't know this was coming as no one told us and we had already purchased everything. Same $711 travel charge for air/ground? 20 hours in the truck pup was traumatized and covered in feces (they did clean him as best they could). Given the cost, I would have hoped for something a bit more organized and professional with more communication.

Prices are very high. Communications are inconsistent and not transparent. Puppy managers are not promptly responsive after the purchase has been completed.

When the idea of a bringing in a new furbaby into the household I wasn’t sure of my options as times have changed and the last time I experienced getting a puppy the most popular method was shopping mall puppy stores. As we later learned the breeding techniques left alot to be desired but there wasn’t anyway to vet how these pups (and kittens) began their lives. So as part of my due diligence I researched my options and came upon PuppySpot. Of course the first thing we did was to read the reviews which for the most part included personal experiences. Of course no one is perfect and some folks will dig til they get the attention they set out to seek. Our first choice for a perfect breed for us and our lifestyle was a Cavapoo and we began our search from there. Almost immediately one available little girl caught our interest. After speaking with Lisa who was energetic and full of positive suggestions we entered into a contract for adoption. Right before the scheduled delivery date this adorable little girl received her final medical exam and it was determined that she had a condition which would have required surgery. Deciding that beginning this adventure with certain unknowns we elected to cancel the agreement for adoption and instead selected a different puppy; this time a male. Unfortunately for us PuppySpot’s policy is to relinquish responsibility for future health conditions arising after adoption so with this unknown we reluctantly searched for a different puppy. PuppySpot made it very easy to change direction and would not have known about any health issues until this final veterinary examination. It turned out not to be a serious condition, probably common for this breed but being an older gentleman I just wasn’t up for any unknowns. In further researching the profiles of the available puppies I soon realized as part of full disclosure the length of relationships with the breeders was provided. This first puppy’s handler had only 1 year of transactions with PuppySpot wheras the term of the relationship with the puppy we secured was 14 years. Our puppy came healthy, socialized, clean and almost housebroken which supports my belief that the longer there is a partnering the better the traits and characteristics of these puppies. My advice then is to find that detail about the puppy you’re about to bring into your life and consider the possibilities for newer partnerships. For those breeders having shorter exposure to working with PuppySpot there may be unknown issues not initially disclosed to PuppySpot and in no way would we give a lower than an excellent review.

We had a great experience with staff, especially Sarah, our puppy placement coordinator. Unfortunately we were very disappointed in the conditions of transport and our puppy’s health upon arrival. We visited the vet and he had parasites, many ticks, and issues with his kidney levels. In addition, he weighs 3lbs less than what was stated on his vet exam from the breeder. I’m saddened to think what this poor pup went through after being promised SO much from puppyspot.

Milo the Multipoo is our second Puppy Spot puppy. Woody the Shipoo was our first and he is 3 years old. Both are wonderful and healthy. The Puppy Spot staff did a great job - quick to respond and very helpful. I have recommended Puppy Spot to many friends.
