I have nothing but good things to say about this course. As someone who graduated a year ago (and actually followed the advice of the course and other grads), I can confidently confirm they equip you with all the training, business info, and support you need to build a successful proofreading business. The whole point is to “teach you how to fish,” not catch the fish for you. So if you need a lot of hand-holding, you may not be a good fit. But if you’re serious and ready to roll up your sleeves and build your business, consider this your sign.

My overall experience with PA has been great. I started with transcript proofreading, but I took a break from it for a long time before coming back and doing the general course, then finishing the transcript course. Coming from an academic background, I was able to complete the general in five days. The transcript course was a different story, but I was still able to complete it within about a year and a half with taking a break for a year. The only thing I wish was different was more marketing tips and tricks. They have some marketing help, but it isn't very much at all. However, I have been able to obtain my own clients very easily. I have so much work, it's crazy.

Loved the structure of the course and how it taught me how to build a business at the same time. This is truly the beginner proofreading business course.

Proofread Anywhere is great: very informative, thorough, and legitimate. I really appreciated all of the specific and general practice exercises, as practice really was what taught me and helped me to improve over time, and I also appreciated the business tips and the immersion into Chicago Manual of Style. Two things I would wish that Proofread Anywhere would delve into in the future are style sheets and letters of transmittal. As of yet, I have not seen those featured in their curriculum, and so I took a separate class elsewhere to build upon my Proofread Anywhere education. For the most part, though, I think that Proofread Anywhere is a great option for one to learn and get certified in proofreading. It is easy to follow but feels very professional, and you can take it at whatever pace works best for you personally. Overall, it seems like the perfect option for a wide variety of people who are interested in proofreading since it is online and especially for those who would love to go into a self-starting, at-home job.

I had positive experience with this course. Lessons were easy to follow and complete. Customer Service was great. All my questions were answered within reasonable time frame. Great value for the money, provides valuable skills, helps with confidence.

This course is a great value for the money and provides you with the knowledge you need to get started with your proofreading business. Yes, it is hard, and yes, you may have to do some work outside of the course content to be successful, but it is worth every penny. One of the best assets is that you have access to a Facebook group with thousands of other students who can provide valuable feedback to you as you progress on your proofreading journey.

From beginning to end, I had a wonderful learning experience with Proofread Anywhere. The course was well thought out, and comprehensive. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to pursue a career as a proofreader.
