Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the course didn’t meet your expectations. We want to clarify that we are currently in the process of updating the course to reflect the 18th edition of CMOS to ensure our students have the most up-to-date information. While the course does focus on CMOS, it goes beyond just learning the style guide—it also provides comprehensive training on working with clients as a freelance proofreader, helping students apply their skills in real-world scenarios. As for the 90% passing score, we understand it may seem high, but it is absolutely achievable for students who follow the course structure and complete the practice worksheets. This standard is in place to help ensure accuracy and professionalism when working with clients. We appreciate your input and will continue improving the course to provide the best experience possible. If you have any further concerns, feel free to reach out.

We're sorry to hear you feel this way about the course, but we’d love to clear up some misconceptions. Many of our students have found success through Proofread Anywhere, but like any skill-based training, results depend on the effort put in. Proofreading is not a "get rich quick" scheme; it takes practice, dedication, and persistence to build a freelance career. Our pricing reflects the comprehensive nature of the program, and we occasionally offer discounts to make it more accessible—just like many reputable educational programs do. As for success stories, we regularly hear from students who have completed the course and gone on to build thriving businesses. We encourage you to check out the testimonials from those who have put in the work and seen real results. We also want to clarify that we do not sell or share personal information, so any spam calls you’ve received are unrelated to our program. If you have any concerns or need more information, we’re happy to help! We wish you the best in your journey, whatever path you choose.

Hi, Beth! The course teaches you everything you need to know about how to be a successful freelance proofreader. Marketing is covered extensively in the course, but it's up to you to use those skills our course teaches you to find your own clients with the long list of online resources you receive. Working from home will require some type of investment in order to build your skills and provide value for your clients. We also offer our grads the opportunity to add their profile to our new job board at hireaproofreader.com. Also be sure to follow us on LinkedIn and include your badge from Accredible in your profile. And be sure to check out our brand new social media marketing course we are offering to our grads. It offers tons of tips and tricks on how to leverage different social media platforms when marketing yourself to clients. Marketing can be a lot of work at first, but when you stick with it and start to gain momentum, it is well worth it. You have the skills to do what it takes!
