Proofread AnywhereReviews of proofreadanywhere.com

This course has so much to offer in terms of proofreading aspects and freelance business preparation. The wealth of information and encouragement from this company has given me the confidence to conquer my fears and build a business of my own with pride. The inclusion into Facebook groups with other students/graduates is also an added benefit as it is yet another place to seek answers and get support. I'm extremely satisfied with my decision to take this course and I'm looking forward to my career as a well-equipped proofreader!

Overall I had a very positive experience going through the course. It was not entirely what I expected, as the main selling point of the course for me was how to get started freelancing and setting up my own business. I felt like the course was much heavier on the proofreading practice. That is not a negative at all; I was very glad for the practice. I just expected to be much better prepared to set up and run my own business. I liked how the course was easy to navigate, and the Facebook group was helpful as well, especially as I was working through revising the essays. All in all, I feel much more confident in my skills as a proofreader, but I still feel a little unprepared to launch my own business.

I enjoyed the course; it was not hard for me to pass the test, as I am a longtime English teacher and natural error-spotter. The course helped me learn the distinction between editing and proofreading, coaching me not to correct things that are not officially wrong, no matter how awkward they might be. Having said that, I could have used more coaching in the starting-my-business aspect, rather than the proofreading aspect. I have created a website and joined the recommended lists, but I have no idea how to get actual work. Luckily, I have a full-time job, so being paid for proofreading was not my immediate goal. Will this help me when I am ready to retire and want to be able to work from anywhere? I'm not sure. It has gotten me started, at least, and I'm grateful for that. I would advise people to wait for sales, as they seem to happen frequently. I took advantage of a 60%-off discount, and perhaps that has sweetened the sting of the course not really changing my life as much as I would have liked.

I took and completed the General Proofreading, Theory & Practice course last year in the midst of the pandemic because I wanted to be productive. It was one of the best decisions I've made. I learned a lot from this course and it has helped me in my current endeavors. As a book reviewer, this course helped sharpen my eyes to spot formatting, grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors that I would have missed before. It has also made me more aware of how I write, whether it be just an email or a social media post. Enrolling in this course gives you lifetime access to the lessons and any updates afterwards. You also become a member of the very supportive General, Proofreading, Theory & Practice Facebook group. When you think about the knowledge and community you'll gain, this course is certainly a good value.

Proofread Anywhere has training that is excellent! It is very informative and challenging. If you are interested in a proofreading gig, I highly recommend it. Be aware though, this is not a quick, easy to complete course. You will get everything you need to get started.

The General Proofreading: Theory and Practice course is great for anyone trying to learn how to be a proofreader. It goes through all the aspects of the job and prepares you for the real world. I was so happy with the course that I purchased the transcript proofreading course a month after finishing this one.

I took this course hoping that I would eventually be able to quit my day job and work from home, and I'm well on my way! I've always easily picked up on errors in written work, so I figured it would be a good fit for me. Well, I never realized how much more I had to learn! This course has given me a great basis for building my own proofreading business, and it also gave me the inspiration to move forward and add copyediting to my repertoire. The Facebook group was such an incredible asset to the course. I learned so much more by participating in the group! The only things that I would like to see added to the course would be how to proofread citations and references and possibly specifics to fiction as well. I highly recommend this course if you are ready to put in the necessary work and take responsibility for building your business!

I signed up for this course after being let go from my job of several years due to the pandemic. The course met my expectations with respect to being challenging, and it gave me the confidence I needed to start my own business where I offer proofreading, editing, and resume writing services. I've since looked into other ways I can upskill and grow my business, something I never thought I would do had it not been for this course.
