Choose Your Own Adventure
Choose Your Own Adventure Your adventure begins with deciding who to use for remote proctoring services. If you're an investigative journalist, relish mysteries, or enjoy a good adventure, Prometric is for you! Luckily for me, Prometric was my only option! I began my journey on the Savanna of Scheduling. No complaints here. Scheduling was relatively easy and the ProProctor application seemed easy enough. Over the next month, I prepared myself for embarkation. Finally, the big day arrived! It was time to begin. I logged into ProProctor, verified my identity, and had the first proctor examine the room. Following this, I was transferred to a second proctor and began my exam. It was smooth sailing at first; the water was like glass! Then, out of nowhere, storm clouds rolled in. Error messages began to rock the boat, but my proctor assured me that the Sea of Error would soon calm. Unfortunately, the undercurrent was too strong! After 20 minutes, we returned to port and began anew. However, this time the Sea of Error raged with fury and tossed the ProProctor app from side to side. I was advised that we had to turn back and reschedule. Once we reached the rocky shores of Reschedule, I was advised to contact Prometric and the certifying agency. Prometric seemed like the right trail to take, but I soon discovered the perils that lied ahead. First, I needed the 1-800 compass. But alas, none were to be found on the Prometric website. Eventually, I found a 800 number by scouring the internet. Upon calling, I was greeted by a nice women who directed me to ProProctor Point. Passing through the serenade of hold music, I reached my first guide. I explained the troubles in the Sea of Error and the need to reschedule my voyage. They told me to hold tight and they would be right back. In the meantime, I was entertained by a quartet playing hold music. I was then greeted by a new guide and again, explained my troubles. Again, I was told to wait and listen to the Prometric nocturne. Success! My guide returned. Tired from my journey, I excitedly awaited his news. Unfortunately, the guide was not able to verify the troubles that had occurred on the Sea of Error. He advised me that the only way I could reach the Isle of Certification was to travel to the land of the certifying agency. So began my descent from ProProctor Point. Back at the fork, I started down the road to the land of the certifying body. I was pleasantly surprised to reach the steward of this kingdom with ease. They promptly assisted me with booking a new voyage and were heart broken to hear about my troubles. Next week I embark on the voyage to the Isle of Certification again. Wish me luck!
