I ordered a Nikon D5100 DSLR camera from primotronix on 22nd november..the order was supposed to get deliver in 7-9 bussiness days but even after 22 days i did not received my camera..i tried calling their customer support but no one would answer..they dont even bother to reply the emails..so after getting soooo much frustrated and angry i posted very negative reviews here on reseller ratings..but still i tried calling their customer care number..after countless attempts,"by god's grace" someone finally answered the call..!!i told them the issue that my ordered is still not delivered..today is 11th,and iam leaving to India on 13th december,i really need my order to get deliver by 13th afternoon becausei have a flight to catch..and guess what was their first reply..??"Sir we can see that you have posted pretty bad reviews about us,you make your reviews positive and i'll ship you order by air by 13th december".i changed my reviews and they were very positive now.they charged my order on the spot and was transferred to their warehouse.hopefully my order was delivered..i collected it on the way to airport..i was very happy and did not had any grudges for primotronix.because there's a saying,"all's well that end's well".i arrived in India.i looked at the camera,it looked good.all the accessories were in place.but to my disappointment when i tried to recharge the battery,the battery won't charge..every time after recharging the battery indicator showed the same battery level..i took the battery and the charger to the Nikon's service center in Pune,India.there they checked the battery and changer and declared that the charger was faulty..!!the charger was unable to recharge the battery..!!So I had to by a new charger which cost me $60..!!it was the exact amount which i had saved by buying camera from primotronix..!now you can see,did i really save the money..??I really regret my decision about buying camera from primotronix..I wish i should have purchased my camera from more trusted source..In addition,running behind saving money I did not get manufacturer warranty..If i would have purchased from some where else i would had to pay the same extra amount which i saved,and would have got atleast 2 years manufacturer warranty..Finally I would Like say that please think before buy from primotronix..the money you save is it really worth it..??even if you save you have to pay again for such things like i payed and primotronix sells faulty and duplicate accessories..i had read some reviews who have faced the similar problem..primotronix replaces the original accessories with the faulty or duplicate one so that they can sell them separately..!!people,i would just like to say,please do not buy anything from here..you will waste your time as well as money..!!every thing will finally end in regret..!!please avoid primotronix..!!"

**UPDATE** 01.02.13 Taking a star. Still haven't received my refund for the camera I sent back. Currently on hold with "customer service" and have been on hold three separate times. I've also had multiple experiences with what I'm pretty sure is the same jerk who transfers your call while you're in mid sentence. Man, that guy sucks. If anyone else is trying to check on the status of a return, and not deal with that initial a**hole, the extension is 301. I'm done trying to give this company the benefit of the doubt. I'm pretty sure there are even fake reviews on here from Primotronix themselves. In retrospect, the hassle I've gone through with Primotronix is just not worth what is most likely a grey market camera and what is most certainly subpar customer service. Simply put, you get what you pay for. **UPDATE** 12.20.12 The camera arrived, a Canon Rebel T3, and it looked good. Very legit, proper packaging, etc. Exactly what I ordered. However, despite their quick work to rectify the initial shipping malfunction, in the end it still took three weeks time to get it here and before it did, my mom bought herself another camera. This means I had to issue a return to Primotronix. So to be clear, I never used the camera, but again it looked legit. Bottom line: I just got off the phone with Doug, and yeah, their call center isn't the best; a little dodgy, a little disorganized, but it sounds to me like they're taking these reviews to heart, they seem genuinely apologetic for the errors on their end, and overall concerned with customer satisfaction. He told me they'd waive the restocking fee as long as the camera was in proper shape, he was helpful and pleasant. I didn't have to threaten or beg to get it waived either. It sucks that I had to spend $16 to ship it back to them, but, eh. I think ol' Pat Collins on here said it best, "Not a scam... but not Amazon either." They're just a company, of people, trying to make it work. **Original Review 12.11.12** I just called the 1-800 number as well to try check on the status of a Canon T3 I ordered. On hold for just under 20 minutes and the call got dropped. Immediately redialed, and was patched through within a couple of minutes. While waiting the second time though I googled these reviews and was starting to get pretty nervous that I'd been scammed. Guy answers the phone and I tell him my concern. He said calls are getting dropped because of how busy they are and their lines are "fried" and he was aware of the bad reviews stemming from this. My order hadn't even shipped yet (I placed it on Nov. 26th) but to his credit he was honest about it, and told me he would fix it immediately. I'm giving them 3 stars, in the spirit of Christmas, but mainly because of his honesty. As long as my mom gets this camera by Christmas, what do I care how long it takes? No one should get scammed, but at the same time, no one in a call center deserves to get chewed out at Christmas because the company they work for has overwhelmed them. Will update if things don't turn out right. P.S. He did try to up-sell me some battery pack for the camera, I just told him whatever I originally ordered is what I want and that was the end of it. No pushy sales pitch or anything.

I had a difficult experience initially when trying to place an order,, But after speaking with Joseph I am satisfied with the way things ultimately turned out. I would definitely do business with Primoelectronics.com again.

I will just be repeating exactly what Christopher Halliday already wrote. After 6 days of no change in order status, I have called and emailed multiple times. I finally got through to wait on hold for 20 minutes and 40 seconds before getting hung up on. I called back and selected 1 for the sales department. Guess what, I waited 20:40 on hold before getting hung up on. Is it a machine? I doubt I will ever see anything of my order. At least my credit card company has not yet been billed.

I ordered a camera last week and, after receiving a confirmation of the order, received no other correspondence. I called them at least a dozen times Monday, and another dozen Tuesday, only to receive dead air or a message that the call could not be completed. I also sent an email 24 hours ago demanding a status report, which has gone unanswered. I sincerely doubt the order will be filled and shipped. This company has, at best, poor communication/business skills. At worse, they are a total scam. Don't find out for yourself. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid this company. You cannot trust them I purchased a Canon Rebel T3i DSLR on black friday. The email told me product should ship in 72 hrs max. No email stating the camera shipped. The status on website said "transferred." I called today (10 days later) to see if product had shipped. Before this, I called a few days ago and the recording said they were closed when they should have been open. The business hours posted on the website were not the same according to their phone system. Today, I could not get through on the first 3 phone calls. The line would ring without answer or give some unusual busy signal. When I finally connected on the subsequent 3 calls, I tried options 2 and 3, customer service and billing, respectively. Not surprisingly, I was disconnected immediately after selecting these options. On my 7th call, I chose sales and then Digital cameras/camcorders. I finally was connected to someone. Isn't it convenient that I can get through to someone when trying to place an order... I told the rep I wanted to find out the status of my order. As I started to speak my second sentence, he already had me on hold transferring to someone else. After waiting several minutes with no response, he came back on the line unsure of why nobody was taking my call. I told the man that I was upset at having to make 7 calls to connect to somebody, and he interrupted by saying "let's not worry about the past." I responded by saying that I was going to tell him about it because of my frustration. I then began to tell him about my problem. He first confirmed that my order was placed. When I asked him for the shipment tracking number, he just reiterated the shipping time. I then asked him if my product had been shipped, and he told me no. At that point I told him to just cancel my order. He never apologized for anything, and he immediately cancelled my order. I forgot to get a cancellation confirmation number, and so I tried calling back. 14 more calls later, I finally got someone else on the line that told me that they do not give cancellation numbers. So, hopefully they don't try to charge my card anyways. I had to call my credit card company to let them know what happened just in case. I can't believe these guys are still in business. Even though they were the lowest price, I'd gladly pay more elsewhere to avoid the hassle, uncertainty, and rudeness. UPDATE 12/29/12: <Name removed>, a customer service rep (possibly the only one), called me and offered to expedite or comp my shipping in an effort to get me to change the review above. He didn't realize that I'd already cancelled my order many days prior to that call. He then offered to send a free battery instead. I told <Name removed> that I'd consider upgrading my review, but I had no intention of deleting the comments regarding my experience to that point. After agreeing, our phone connection was lost. I sent <Name removed> two emails clarifying our agreement. I have yet to receive a response after 2.5 weeks. No battery was sent. What seemed to be an act of good will and consolation was merely a veiled bribe with no apparent intent to follow through. Their lack of communication is extremely unprofessional and not at all conducive to fostering a reputable business. I have zero trust in Primotronix and will never shop there again. I suspect the positive reviews on this site are produced by employees, family/friends, or people with whom they contract to write such reviews. I can't imagine anyone having such positive experiences with this business given the other extremely poor reviews, all of which demonstrate a consistently negative theme.

Ordered a Nikon D5100 from this website as it was the lowest price when searching using google shop which listed it as a "trusted seller" - Order was place 11/24 - have yet to receive any information about the status of the order - still states "transferred" - have been attempting to call multiple days and times throughout the day with no response - call was mysteriously dropped many times however I have had no issues calling any other numbers on my phone today - sent an email inquiring about purchase - no response - finally received a voice mailbox after being on hold for over 15 minutes (after pressing ext 301 at initiation of call) - left voicemail cancelling order - do not trust this website!!! I plan to file complaint with BBB (although this website is not accredited) and post negative reviews warning other customers about this site as well as dispute any charges from this company if they do not cancel my order

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. They use a classic bait and switch scam by offering low prices on their website then trying to up-sell you or telling you that the product you ordered is an "import". I saw a great price on a Canon camera and placed an order. A couple days later, I got a phone call from a salesperson to "verify" my purchase. He then went on to recommend that I order an extra battery and SD card which I didn't need and didn't order. He then recommended that I purchase an extended warranty since this camera doesn't come with any warranty. When I asked why didn't it come with a warranty from Canon, he told me that this camera is an "import" camera that has no warranty and has a weaker battery. I looked at the web page where I ordered the camera and it clearly states that the camera comes with a USA warranty. I was told that if I look at the specs on the same page, it says that it is an import, which it did. I don't understand how they can say that it comes with a USA warranty and that its an import at the same time. I got tired of arguing and being on hold for over 30 minutes so I asked them to cancel the order. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these scheisters. I'm pretty bummed because I missed out on a legit deal from another website."
