Pier 1 ImportsReviews of pier1.com

As long as you don't plan to return anything, you might be OK. This retailer must have bought the rights to the Pier1 name, but they're absolute trash. I asked to do a return, they got back to me 13 days later saying the return would only be accepted within 30 days of purchase, which of course then it wasn't

WARNING: To Pier1: when you’re putting together a new ad campaign, don’t forget to tell everyone that you changed your return policies so that the customer is STUCK with a store credit because you REFUSE to process a refund regardless of whether the customer spent $4.00 or $4,000! Also don’t forget to tell everyone that your “customer service” is essentially nonexistent. Oh and make sure that you mention how your promise of shipping out product within 3-5 business days is also a blatant lie. You folks should consider running for office. You certainly run your business like a politician.

I ended making the mistake of buying two glass candle holders from their site and what I received was the wrong color. I ended up contacting them the same day they got delivered with pictures of the incorrect items (9/3) and did not receive a response until 9/9, and guess what? A solution? NO! They said they were going to send my issue to the relevant department and that I would receive a response shortly. Was 6 days not enough? Was my support request in limbo or what?! Now it’s 9/17 and I have not heard back from them ever again. With that said, today is the day I file a chargeback with my bank. I’ve been too generous with waiting 2 weeks for a solution for a simple problem that’s due to their fault. Take my advice, absolutely DO NOT buy from this website, just like multiple reviews have said, this not the Pier1 of the past. It’s now owned by a company who buys the names/intellectual rights of bankrupt companies and just uses their names and (your built trust) to pedal products and nothing more. With “service” like this, they’ll go bankrupt a second time.

Pier One is not what they used to be. I ordered beach towels and they were the worst ever. So paper thin and cheaply made! I will not be ordering again from them.

FAKE Website scam!! wacht out!! BE CAREFUL cuidado pagina web falsa. I have bought in the website, pierone.shop from Pier1 Import. add my credit card and I also have the print from my charge, but no news from the company any more, they never sent me a reply of my shipment, no answer after a few mails to complaint. Also the website charged me in Pounds and the address is fake.

Do not order from this company. I had merchandise credit and wanted to use it. Entered the card number, clicked PayNow. Instead of processing my gift card, my credit card was charged ( as I later figured out, the credit card info got pre-filled at the verification step , which I guess is the new and exciting feature of today’s online shopping).. anyhow, as soon as I saw that confirmation with my credit card charged, I called their customer service to explain. He told me too late to cancel and anyhow..old gift cards are no longer working. I told him the only reason for my purchase was to use this gift card and begged to cancel. He put me on hold, then told me it is taken care of - he called processing department and they had approved cancellation. You already guessed it - my credit card is charged and now email comes stating the package is in the mail. And you all already know their return policy. Do my old gift card was cancelled due to their bankruptcy and now they took more of my money for stuff I don’t really need :( scam Oh, and do yourself a favor and shop around - most items they sell you can find for half the price elsewhere. Including items I got with what I believed was old store credit card.. :(

I have been a Pier 1 customer for a long time when they use to have their brick and mortar stores. Since they have closed all their physical locations this was the first time I bought anything from them online. I want to share my experience and hope you don't end up with mixed feelings like me. First, when you make you submit your online purchase make ABSOLUTELY SURE you know where the goods will be delivered. Because once you click submit there is no one that will be able to modify or change the shipping address. I literally spoke to at least 5 customer service reps, along with multiple online requests and still they could not change the shipping address. Second, when you purchase online and decide a minute later you want to cancel your order that is NOT possible. This has to be the most bizarre company policy I have ever come across. They will NOT refund your purchase period. I was left with the impression that once they get your money it's a done deal. Third, when you receive your goods and decide you don't want it YOU have to pay out-of-pocket for the shipping return costs. And then all they will do is issue you online store credit. Just make sure you understand their store policy. Fourth, to give them credit some of the items I had purchased were discounted a few days later. Pier 1 was able to make the price adjustments and give me reasonable store credit. Very nice of them to do this. Fifth, the paintings I ordered were shipped in a timely manner and were carefully packaged. Overall, despite their strange corporate policy this was a good first-time experience buying online.

Stay far away from Pier 1. It is no longer a trusted name in home decor. The original store went bankrupt and was bought by a different company that is super sketchy. I ordered a $1500 sideboard. Received a notice that it shipped over a month ago. But nothing since. Tracking # provided is bogus. Can’t get an update over email or IM. Am concerned I got completely scammed. Also their fine print return policy says no refunds are available- only store credit… to use at a bogus company. Stay far away.
