Hi Sam, I'm sure you hear it daily, but I'll repeat it anyway... What a fantastic format...! I've been playing for years, but felt I plateaued 20 years ago and sort of lost my love for playing. Then a couple years ago, I saw a Fender ad with Nathaniel Murphy playing an overpriced Acountasonic. Something about him made me grab my Tele and want to start playing again. When I found out he had a video course here at Pickup, I was immediately interested. Now that I'm here I've discovered why I was stuck in the first place. My foundations were weak and my learning approach had been all wrong. It was as though I'd been trying to learn Chinese using a phrase book. Sure, I knew a lot of catchy sayings and I could even recite paragraphs of words flawlessly....but I had no idea what anyone was saying. CAGED bootcamp and eventually the theory classes are my first stops. The talent line up is impressive and I'm sure every single artist has a trick I'd like to know. Damn, I wish something like this was around 50 years ago... Good luck Sam, I know this is gonna be a hit. Thanks again Mark Sullivan

I've used this site for over a year; I think it's fantastic. Between the pandemic and being an adult, I don't have the time/money for in-person lessons. I'm someone who used to play a lot, was decent but hit a plateau--this seems to be the target demographic for this service. That said, they have everything from the most basic (ie here is how to hold a pick) to extremely challenging classes with ultra-fast playing. There are lots of styles featured and a built-in community that is active and everyone is really nice. I've had several questions and the moderators always reply. If you're interested in being a guitar influencer, they even have a couple of videos about social media and marketing. The artists that teach the master classes are all fantastic, and whether you're learning about a specific style or a general type of technique, they focus on musicality. If you're looking to put in the time on guitar to push yourself to get better, I think this service is worth it. I like to mostly play metal; they do not feature any content in that genre but I've found the lessons helpful regardless, and I imagine that is the case across genres.

An awesome source of quality content from exceptional players and instructors. Great value for money in my opinion, cheaper and more convenient than a guitar tutor.

The kind of learning that you get for $15/month on PickUp Music is worth way more than you pay for. I used to work and have taken a few online courses at private art/music universities before and these lessons are far better than the ones that cost thousands of dollars in tuition. One of the best investments I've made on myself in my life and I feel lucky to have stumbled upon PickupMusic.com. I'm learning so much so fast!

The absolute best source for learning to play guitar!! I was an intermediate guitarist with some jazz theory knowledge. But after learning with Pickup, I feel like an experienced artist with a unique voice. Take a chance on them! I promise you won’t be disappointed :)

I’ve messed around with guitars for years and definitely hit a plateau prior to joining pickup music. After journeying through the very well orchestrated levels of the caged system with Molly and messing around with a few song squads etc, I have truly expanded both my playing and my musical understanding and I’ve barely scratched the surface of what pickup music has to offer.
