I like the course content. Previously used Fender Play but I find the master classes on here more guided and complete. I feel like I’m getting a more rounded education, whereas Fender’s lesson plans feel more segmented. Where Fender Play does shine is with “guitar karaoke,” their UI is more user-friendly (better sound options, with or without a metronome, counting in, no background noise, etc.). Some of the demonstrations are better on Fender Play for beginners as well. I’ve found myself getting lost quite a few times on here. There are typos that make me feel like I don’t understand anything (e.g. notation that doesn’t match what I hear). So far my favorite instructors are Dr Molly and Sam.

This website is SO GOOD. I have played guitar, on and off, for a decade. I have learnt more in two months than I ever thought possible. If you want to get better at guitar, try this out now!

An incredibly well-thought platform for learning guitar.

It’s a vast library of fairly straightforward and easy to follow up lessons/training sessions with musicians that generously share their guitar knowledge. My first enrollment was with the Caged bootcamp and that changed my way understanding of the fretboard opening up to pathways I wasn’t expecting to get in such a short time… i hope they continue to keep this membership accessible as it is, I really enjoy it and have recommended it to guitar friends. The Molly Miller CAGED Bootcamp is worth the cost of admission on its own. I have yet to check out the other classes but I've been really impressed with the quality of instruction and most importantly the PACING! So much online content is poorly paced, often forcing you to sit through things you already know. These classes are well targeted at the intermediate player who isn't picking up a guitar for the first time. I wish they had more here for acoustic players and are broader depth of instrumentation than just guitar, but I expect that will grow with time. It's a cool idea, I hope they keep going (especially at this price point.)

Absolutely the best source anywhere to improve your playing regardless of where you currently are. I am so grateful they put this out there. I SOOOOO wish it was around when I was first starting out way back when.

The first one started playing the guitar at the beginning of the pandemic and I'm old and not very smart I started trying to learn on YouTube which is good has its place I learned a lot on YouTube then I Got fender play which was pretty good too he started getting kind of corny and I started I wanted to learn more I wanted to get better I kept seeing as for pick up music but I thought it was like a scam I'm getting it and it's the best thing I've ever done the instructors are amazing they take the time to teach you in little chunks but eventually you build your confidence and get better Don't think about it if you got the money just get pick up music and you'll see your playing will get better

This platform is exceptional. It features lessons taught by extraordinary musicians, so the content is very digestible and useful. There's a lot to learn in Pickup Music, the only thing you will need is self-discipline. I'd recommend this to every musician, it doesn't matter the level you're in.
