I just started with Pickup Music about 2 months ago and I feel like I have already gotten more than my money's worth for the cost of the annual membership. Previously, I was teaching myself guitar using the Hal Leonard method, and doing pretty well, but I wasn't really getting anywhere with Bar Chords. Then I started with Pickup Music and Karl made learning Power Chords and Bar Chords so much easier! And the lessons and exercises and performance pieces are a lot of fun to play along with - a lot more fun than playing alone. The lessons and exercises are designed to build upon themselves to teach you new things and to remind you of things you learned before. I look forward to practicing every day. I think the system is excellent!

So far for me this pathway has too basic overall level. I'm getting quite a lot new interesting informations but it's like digging rhrought those videos and skip the rest of it, because those licks are not demanding enough to progress.

Heyyy this is the best way i have tried so far to learn more about playing the guitar. Pick up music covers sooo many different technics and styles. I really think this is worth the money and if you do the grads i think you will learn a lot <3

Great starting point for intermediate players! I already new my pentatonic scales but I didn't understand them at all! Now I understand what I am playing!

Pickup Music is 100% my favorite online learning platform. the material is not only detailed, concise and carefully explained, but shows you how to apply it on real-life situations, so practicing feels challenging in a fun and relevant way. Another thing I really appreciate about pickup is how lively populated and cared for by the staff it feels: the team is quick to troubleshoot, take feedback and answer questions, content is frequently uploaded and revised, and live online learning feedback and chat sessions are always available. And, of course, it's cheaper than traditional guitar lessons.

I've been playing guitar for 10 months and started with the CAGED course on Pick-Up Music a month ago. After completing just the first two grades of the six grade CAGED course, I can already visualize chords up and down the fretboard, without reference to chord charts, and identify and play the root notes, chord tones, chords, and pentatonic patterns for each of the CAGED shapes -- no more chord charts needed. The CAGED course is phenomenal and has given me the knowledge to progress way beyond what I had previously envisioned. I feel like I can call myself a musician now.
