Rude employee tried to resolve issue with manager. My wife was very kind I listened as the manager was more disrespectful than the employee. Had my wife in tears begging her to please not be so rude she was on the phone crying saying what have I done. Petsmart should be ashamed. Cincinnati Alamo location

I’m not sure if they even bathed my dog- she still had paint in her ears and sleep in her eyes. My main reason for having my dog washed was because her anal glance was starting to smell and it states that anal glance draining in included in the process, I also mentioned that it needs cleaning before she went in for her appointment. When I came to pick her up, her bum was still smelly and when I asked about it, they said they did clean it a bit but I have to take her to the vet to do it, why is it then advertised as part of the procedure? She didn’t even smell like she had a bath even though she was a bit wet. She was terrified after we picked her up and extremely anxious. What a waste of money.

Have been going to PetSmart for 15+ years Today 10/27 I was called that service was terminated as they found stitches on dogs back. 11 1/2 years this dog has been going there with only 1 previous issue. The dog had a Cist remove July 19 stitches remove July 28 he was groomed in Aug and was groomed perfectly. No issues with stitches. Today they have shaved his back and stopped where the Stitches had been. There are absolutely no stitches visible Manager and Groomer sighted policy and said the groomer was wrong that used to work there in Aug. Store Policy. Unbelievable don’t go there they refuse to admit the mistake.

The worse experience we have ever had at any store. Threatened to cancel our appointment even though we waited for her to open up the grooming salon, we went to the manager to open the salon. When we said were not late and showed her the time in the phone, she said she was not comfortable grooming our dog. The manager made her do it because we were not late. She said she was not comfortable because my husband questioned her when she was going to cancel our appointment. She lied to her manager about my husband.

This traumatic experience occurred at the PetSmart in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, but this is happening across the country at PetSmart grooming salons!!! I dropped off my beautiful Goldendoodle KARMA at 12:45pm on 10/20/2023 and went over all areas of the grooming with the groomer, Trinity. It was odd, as Trinity repeatedly tried to get me to leave the hair longer. I went home and at 4:30 received a call from the groomer (Trinity) about the stage she was at with Karma. This was nearly four hours after she was dropped off. Trinity sounded very nervous and told me she was working on Karma’s head and almost finished. She told me that she would call me at 5-5:15 or when she is finished. I told her I’ll be in the store at 5 and you can call me when she’s ready. I walked in the store at 4:55, just 25 minutes after the call. I started recording Karma on the table to capture the moment, but quickly realized Karma was in distress while on the grooming table. TWO groomers were shaving her so fast and the hair was still on table. They knew I was coming. It was obvious the grooming must have started at 4:30, not 12:45 when dropped off, which means she was crated, no water, for four hours. Karma was stressed and panting excessively; clearly dehydrated. At least five groomers were in the salon, yet no one attempted to help her. One groomer came over to the window and was even attempting to block me from observing Karma. She was just standing there and did not have a dog to work on. I went into the salon and told the closest groomer to please tell the groomers working on Karma TO NOT RUSH, I will wait. I was treated so poorly by the manager (Karla) who was incredibly abrasive, unprofessional, and made me feel as though my concerns were not valid. I told her about Karma’s excessive panting and needing water. SHE DID NOT CARE. PetSmart, do you teach your employees how to recognize when a dog is in distress and what to do if they are? Either way, they are ignoring dogs in distress!!! I left and Karma drank an entire bottle of water in the car. She was shaking and seemed VERY OFF besides being dehydrated. At home, she was no longer sitting by my side or following me around. Instead she hid behind chairs and in other rooms. It was heartbreaking. About 30 hours later, Karma was up from 12:30am and wanted to go outside every 20 minutes. She was trying to go potty, but couldn’t. Then I noticed blood. I took Karma to an emergency hospital where she had a thorough examination, was given IV fluids, medication, X-rays performed and observed. The vet wanted to know EXACTLY what happened to Karma. I explained to her what happened since dropping her off at Petsmart. The vet said she is very confident that Karma endured trauma at the groomers, she was extremely stressed, which caused inflammation, blood clots, and hemorrhaging. We were sent home with three prescriptions. Blankets and sheets cover the floor and furniture to expect the unexpected. Yes, I contacted Petsmart corporate on Saturday and the manager was told to not contact me by corporate, but she called anyway…and was unprofessional AGAIN. We were at the hospital all day on Sunday. I filed another complaint with corporate on Monday, gave them the update about the ER Visit, and told them the manager (Karla) contacted me. They escalated my case to upper-management (Webster), said the manager (Karla) will not contact me as she knows it is a company policy that managers cannot contact customers after a case is escalated to UM. “Someone” (Karla) has her own rules and a complete disregard for authority (Karla) because the new details of my complaint were transmitted to the manager (Karla) along with her supervisor (Webster) and a few hours later, the manager (Karla) sent me an email, TELLING ME to “give her the name of my vet so that she could have a conversation to understand why Karma wasn’t feeling herself.” Unbelievable. Yet another complaint filed by myself with corporate. I responded to Karla’s email insisting she stop contacting me amongst other things. I also sent an email to corporate last night with very REASONABLE requests. I contacted corporate this morning and they confirmed receipt of my requests, and said I will be contacted by UM (Webster) by 7pm this evening. At this point, I do not trust any of them and do not expect a call. Neither CS rep wanted me to send them photos/videos relating to these issues, a red flag that PetSmart does not care. Karma cannot speak, but her symptoms, condition, and behavior says it all. Please DO NOT take your animals to PetSmart for grooming. This grooming would have cost me $180 with the tip. My emergency vet bill was over $800. I love Karma so much. This has really been heartbreaking and stressful for me. I have so many friends with beautiful pets and do not want ANYONE to endur what we did/are.

I took my goldendoodle to be just bathed and his nails clipped and the groomer also the manager told me she would have to shave his tail and ears to be bathed which is ridiculous when I picked him up he looked horrible I would never ever recommend PetSmart to clip your dog and the manager should be fired she's horrible!

I keep seeing an ad for a $10 gift card when you make a 25 dollar purchase on Hills Science Diet. I made a 50 dollar purchase but the clerk knew nothing about a gift card.
