We ordered multiple sliding doors and windows and a French door from Pella, relying on measurements taken during an in-home visit by a Pella representative. Unfortunately, our five-foot French-door opening was specified for a six-foot door, which is what was ultimately delivered. Although we worked with Pella to try to resolve the problem, we were unable to reach a satisfactory resolution and must now purchase the correctly sized door from another supplier. Pella was ultimately unresponsive. We had hoped for a more accommodating response to what began with Pella’s erroneous measurement.

I do not recommend Pella. Their customer service sucks. I have been trying to get an estimate and order 2 replacement windows. After a month and a half I still can’t get help. I have a long email thread to prove it, with customer service names. They just don’t come through. Why would you buy a new Pella window if you can’t get support when something happens?

My sales person sold me a window replacement that did not match what I have in the other parts of the house. He was bold to tell me that we discussed it; my husband confirmed that the issue never came up because he said Pella was going to install the type he took out. I have told Tom to return the two sliders that were taken off, he suddenly stopped taking my calls. With temperatures at the 50"s, draft is coming through the window because it has not been finished. Tom my sales person sent over the job order, has not been in touch to speak with me after I told him my misgivings. It feels like he is saying, "you've paid afterall, you can't touch me". The issues I have are not resolved at this time!

They came out and measured 3 times and then the manager came to measure again and said all the 3 sales people measured wrong and he wanted 1,700 dollars more than the price they give me .He was loud and acting like it’s my fault that the measurements was wrong. He canceled the contract.How could all the measurements be wrong!

We had a 7k slider with two larger fixed panels installed during our renovation in 2020 (triple pane with blinds). In June it started to leak at the bottom of the access points to clean the interior glass. It got so bad we had to used 8 towels to mop up our hardwood during bad storms in Illinois. Called Pella and first service appointment was 6 weeks out. Estimator, who was excellent, said all, three had failed at the exterior seal and while not common he could tell just looking at the door. He placed a bead of caulk as temp fix that stopped the ingress immediately. He then ordered new glass for fixed panels and a new door. Pella does not cover labor after 2 years. so we paid $1400 for. 2 guys for 3.5 hours. Pella covered all parts. Also, the rolling screen had broken, it was covered and replaced. The upgraded “brass” plate handle had the finish wear off-not covered as it’s an upgrade and get this….we are supposed to wax it every year! Anyway, the installers were excellent and the repair was completed. They said parts would retail for 15k if we were responsible!!! Anyway, the warranty was clear 2 years on labor but I think our labor bill is a profit center to help cover parts costs. Guys also said to caulk any Pella fixed pane window every couple years along the bottom glass to prevent leaking. It was great-full to have an actual Pella service team come out but it took way to long to rectify. Understand the warranty when you buy these products but I conclude the industry is shady overall so this may be a s good as it gets? Interesting Pella does not seem to comment on customers complaints on Trustpilot.

Pella is one of the worst companies to deal with. Will never use again. They started a job in May 2026 and it is now Sept 2026 and the job isn’t finished. After around 70 phone calls many unreturned. They charge a good amount and are crappy at completing the task, they have my $36000 but I do not have a finished set of doors front or back.

The windows and doors seem fine, but honestly for the price I'm not sure it was worth it. The warranty covers very little and doesn't last very long. We have casement windows and wasps make nests inside the casing all the time. We are constantly cleaning them out. Also, tried to contact customer service to see what could be done, but after being on hold for over an hour I gave up. If it's a premium product, they should have a better design and better customer service.

Impossible to get replacement parts and no one connected to Pella is willing to help. We had a simple request for weatherstripping and a door bottom sweep. No help needed, just wanted this simple product. - they have an online store, but nothing was available. - we tried calling but were passed around from one place to another. - finally got someone who said they would try to find some and would text us an invoice. No follow up. The dimensions on Pella’s weatherstripping is unique to the brand, so other standard weatherstripping doesn’t work. We wound up buying quality standard weatherstripping and customizing it to work. A lot less headache. Of course this voids any warranty, but it doesn’t sound like they stand behind their product. UPDATE: we just got an email from them and it is for the wrong product.
