Did lots of research on window material, brands and so on. Ordered Pella impervia model. Delivery was delayed a few weeks beyond original date. While removing the packaging I discovered the half screens were slightly warped on all four so they did not fully sit in the sill. The frames were level and plumb but screen was warped. My old windows had been removed so it was too late to deal with it. Sadly I will need to cover the screen gaps with white tape to prevent insects. Please check this small detail before removing your old windows!

I had a patio slider installed a few months ago. A few days later I noticed that some of the wood wasn't properly stained. Called them and someone came out to see for themselves. They were supposed to come today to replace the parts but were a no show. When I called them, they said they couldn't locate the parts and the technician who was supposed to come today was out at a job that would take all day. I rearranged my morning for them and now we have to reschedule. Doubt I'll use them in the future.

Pella has actually treated us well and has been responsive to fixing installation issues and replacing glass panels. They have twice improperly installed some of the retracting screens. We have a couple of big issues with screens. I'd only recommend the French slider with the interior screens if you live in an area with few bugs. Otherwise, your house will fill with bugs if the slider is open because the bugs collect on the screens. When you open the screens to close the sliders, the bugs rush in off of the screens. We also have the retractable screens that are hidden when the window is closed. We love the clear view out and they clean more easily. However, I have noticed that bugs on the outside of the pane of glass get past the window brush when I open the window and are brought into the house. Our bedroom and bathroom fill up with gnats if the window is open because there is no screen to keep them off of the glass and the brushes on the side of the window with no screen don't sweep them off while opening the window or keep them from getting past it while the window is open. As a result, we can't have our windows open at night during warm months.

I am giving three stars because I do like the storm door and it lasted eight years with no problems. My complaint is with the customer service. They have a system where you have to call in and give all your information twice, once for Pella and once for the storm door department, and then they give you an appointment for a callback. My call back was made early so I missed it and had to start over again. Then I was given a time for the next morning, which was New Year’s Eve and they didn’t call back until the day after New Year’s, without confirming this. Then they call from an unknown number, so I did not pick up. There is also an option three on the storm door department menu for not having your registration number, which I did not have because you have to be able to open the door to see the number and my problem was that the door was jammed shut. But the option three does not work so there is no way to proceed. Just a really messed up way of dealing with Customer Service.

Nice when I was buying . Installation is 3 doors went fairly well. Paid 10,000 $ However. I could not get storm door to lock one month after installation. Someone came out and rehung door. However stripped molding and now 5 months later, Still not fixed . Have made multiple calls and even stopped by Show room several times . Not impressed with customer service and the guarantee is not worth the paper it’s written on . When I’ve called service number , can’t get the storm door department.
