My sales person sold me a window replacement that did not match what I have in the other parts of the house. He was bold to tell me that we discussed it; my husband confirmed that the issue never came up because he said Pella was going to install the type he took out.
I have told Tom to return the two sliders that were taken off, he suddenly stopped taking my calls. With temperatures at the 50"s, draft is coming through the window because it has not been finished.
Tom my sales person sent over the job order, has not been in touch to speak with me after I told him my misgivings. It feels like he is saying, "you've paid afterall, you can't touch me".
The issues I have are not resolved at this time!

We had a 7k slider with two larger…
We had a 7k slider with two larger fixed panels installed during our renovation in 2020 (triple pane with blinds). In June it started to leak at the bottom of the access points to clean the interior glass. It got so bad we had to used 8 towels to mop up our hardwood during bad storms in Illinois. Called Pella and first service appointment was 6 weeks out. Estimator, who was excellent, said all, three had failed at the exterior seal and while not common he could tell just looking at the door. He placed a bead of caulk as temp fix that stopped the ingress immediately. He then ordered new glass for fixed panels and a new door. Pella does not cover labor after 2 years. so we paid $1400 for. 2 guys for 3.5 hours. Pella covered all parts. Also, the rolling screen had broken, it was covered and replaced. The upgraded “brass” plate handle had the finish wear off-not covered as it’s an upgrade and get this….we are supposed to wax it every year! Anyway, the installers were excellent and the repair was completed. They said parts would retail for 15k if we were responsible!!! Anyway, the warranty was clear 2 years on labor but I think our labor bill is a profit center to help cover parts costs. Guys also said to caulk any Pella fixed pane window every couple years along the bottom glass to prevent leaking. It was great-full to have an actual Pella service team come out but it took way to long to rectify. Understand the warranty when you buy these products but I conclude the industry is shady overall so this may be a s good as it gets? Interesting Pella does not seem to comment on customers complaints on Trustpilot.

So-so. Probably not worth the $$$$
The windows and doors seem fine, but honestly for the price I'm not sure it was worth it. The warranty covers very little and doesn't last very long. We have casement windows and wasps make nests inside the casing all the time. We are constantly cleaning them out. Also, tried to contact customer service to see what could be done, but after being on hold for over an hour I gave up.
If it's a premium product, they should have a better design and better customer service.

Pella product with Outrageous customer care!
Bought 6k pella French doors from Lowes with built-in screens. The windows came with a haze inside the windows panes. I called lowes and they told me to call Pella. Pella had NO online instructions or videos. After numerous transfers I was sent to a technician who charges me $100.00 to explain to me over the phone how to open the windows!@#$$% . Another pella rep said " you should have bought direct"??? So much for customer service!!!

Pella's philosophy is "take the money and run"
In May 2026 we had $33,000 worth of Pella casement windows installed. We purchased the windows and installation directly through our regional Pella sales office. The day after installation, we discovered that none of the window cranks or locks had been properly installed and literally fell off of the windows when used. We also discovered damaged trim on one window. We called the customer service number and were connected to a foreign based call center. ($33,000 and this is the best Pella can do!) The call taker read from a script, asking for serial numbers, make, model, where I purchased the windows, the name of my contractor, etc. etc. etc. We felt that for $33,000, Pella should have all of that information on file! We requested to be connected to our local Pella representative, but the call taker would not do that. We ended the call and contacted our local Pella sales rep, hoping he could help. Apparently, he had already made the sale and was not interested in helping us. We finally managed to reach someone in our regional Pella office, who came to our house several days later. He fixed the defective lock and crank installations and discovered some other installation issues. He said he would order some parts and return to install them. That was six weeks ago. We left a followup voicemail message six days ago, but he has not yet responded. Pella has no customer service or followup. None. Yes, so far the windows seem to be of good quality, but there are other companies (at least in our area) that offer a similar quality product with much better customer service. Going forward, we are concerned that if anything ever goes wrong with our $33,000 windows, we will have one heck of a battle trying to get the problem resolved. Pella's philosophy seems to be "take the money and run." We absolutely do not recommend this company.

Locked out… no care, no concern
For the expense of this door when and if there is an issue customer service should immediately act. Our door lock has not been working and customer service told me I have to wait 5 days for a return call just to schedule for maintenance. Meanwhile my door doesn’t lock. Isn’t that issue of safety? These doors are not cheap and I paid for safety and I’m not getting it. Sad… go to Lowe’s buy a regular door that can easily be serviced and installed.

Poor Communication, Process and Follow Through
Reading the reviews on "Trust Pilot" PRIOR TO making my purchase of Pella Windows and Doors would have been helpful.
I received quotes from three companies and it came down to Pella and Andersons. They were comparable in price and even though Andersons seemed to have the BETTER material, their sales associate seemed more like a used car salesman and drove me away to Pella. I did like my Pella Sales person.
We wanted new windows and doors before a big party we were planning. I was told that it should not be a problem but the scheduler would go over all of that with me (after they had my check).
However, from the beginning, Communication, Process and Follow Through are well below satisfactory.
The initial visit was about 90 minutes where measurements and options were discussed. When we were able to negotiate pricing, I was asked for payment. So like an idiot who was born last night, I paid in full. With the understanding that my check would not be cashed until installation was scheduled and windows were ordered.
A few days later, my bank called to inform me of a large check attempting to clear.
I phoned Pella to ask why my check was cashed before they said it would be and they just apologized, offered to send me a gift card for dinner, blah-blah-blah.
My job was scheduled to start the Monday AFTER our party. Again there were apologies. I was told they had to order the materials. Apparently the THREE MONTH PLUS lead time was not enough. OH, but they had already paid themselves for my job BEFORE they had even ordered the material.
Pella has completed 70% of the job but had to stop because one of the windows was cracked and they failed to order the correct size window sills. They also need to get a different person out to install screens because the crew did not know how to install them.
It will take another 6 weeks to get the material and they they will contact me to schedule round TWO of their install.
When all is said and done it will have been about 6 months to complete my job.
OH...the windows and doors? I'm happy with the moldings and the installation. I'm not crazy about the windows themselves. Design is lacking and i'm still wondering how I can wash the outside of the windows from inside the house.
I will follow up after they actually COMPLETE my job.
OH...did they make any concessions with me on this poor performance? YES!!! A restaurant gift card for $100 WOOHOO!!!

I like the look of my casement window…
I like the look of my casement window unit. However, I am unhappy with the fact that one set of blinds came defective. I called Pella to report the problem but told them I'd keep an eye on it and let them know what id like them to do at a later date. It was drooping at the top unlike those of the other windows. I got busy with work etc. and time went by. Then one day to my dismay I noticed the problem had gotten a lot worse. There was a broken thread. I called Pella and was in disbelief when they hardly had any details of my order. They did not even have the window specs recorded. Finally they told me the blinds were out of warranty and that I would need to pay over $1000.00 just for a new set of blinds for that one window of that unit. They would need to send someone out to remeasure the window otherwise, any mistakes would be on me. It is just a blind you pop in and out. I said hey I am not purchasing a whole new window all I need is a replacement blind and they were like yeah that will be the cost. So think carefully and check your installations because Pella will let you pay dearly at a later date. Oh and to top it all their quote is only valid for a certain number of days.
