Everything went very well with Pawrade. The staff were most helpful with answering all of my questions and providing me with important information regarding the puppy we were purchasing and the process. Even when I questioned their legitimacy, they were able to provide me with reassurance. Overall, I would say that my experience with Pawrade has been very satisfying.

My experience with Pawrade was very bad. I had specified Doc could transit on 8/18 as long as he did not arrive before 8/19 because I had to move my daughter back to college that day and no one would be home to watch him. I was assured by my contacts at Pawrade he would not arrive any earlier than 8/20. He arrived 7am, 8/19, putting me in a difficult situation. Doc was a mess when he arrived and looked nothing like his picture. He had urine discoloration on all four paws, legs and numerous other parts of his body including his face. He had numerous scabs for various reasons such as a partial tick left on him. He had been bathed but had dead fleas on him as well. He was missing hair on his underbelly and back leg from the urine issues (apparently from lying continuously in urine in the kennel I’m told). His coat was long and straggly. On Tues. he started to have coughing issues. I took him back to the vet the next day and was told he had Kennel Cough. No doubt from being transported a few days earlier in a van full of puppies that hadn’t been checked for health issues; since he had not been around any other dogs here except our Goldendoodle who is vaccinated and healthy. I took him to a groomer 3 hr. after his arrival who was appalled at his condition (she is the manager who also breeds and shows dogs) and who documented his issues and took pictures all on her own initiative. Stephen who delivered Doc (the owner of the transport company who has 5 dogs of his own) and whom I questioned about Doc's condition said "The breeder may not have broken any 'rules' but this is totally unacceptable in my opinion." I was leery about getting a puppy not knowing the breeder or seeing the puppy beforehand and for that reason an email was sent to me from the breeder about Doc. First, she referred to Doc as Panda throughout so it was either a cut and paste or she was addressing the wrong puppy. She went on to paint an idyllic picture of the puppies life on the farm, how they doted on their puppies and what great pride they took in them. Seeing his condition, where is the pride? Pawrade was my eyes and ears regarding this puppy and you failed. You should research your breeders and the purchased puppies that are picked up for transport more thoroughly and start by banning this breeder. For these reasons you will not get any recommendation from me and I will post my experience as a warning for others who would spend so much money for such a disappointing experience. Instead of paying nearly $3,000 for a quality crossbreed puppy, I feel like I received a Rescue from a shelter with issues. I have before and after pictures I would be happy to provide as I am not able to attach them here. Luckily it appears Doc only has physical issues but no serious health (according to the vet) or temperament issues. This experience was a nightmare that I paid thousands of dollars to experience and wouldn’t wish on anyone else. Update: Pawrade responded privately to my review through Trustpilot and I wish I could share it here. They did not take responsibility or apologize for anything but instead made excuses or turned the complaints back on me as if this is what I should expect. What a disappointment and what a poor way to run a company! Karen Foxx-Smith Sent from Mail for Windows

Hello Karen, We’re happy we were able to get you your puppy on time without having to wait a long time. We’re truly sorry to hear that you are not pleased with your experience in purchasing Doc. We take great pride in providing a happy and healthy puppy to a new loving family. We’d like to address your issues and concerns. On August 16, 2021 our travel concierge contacted you on a recorded line and discussed details about the delivery of Doc. The travel concierge advised you that Doc would be picked up on 8-18 and that travel would likely be 2 days but that is not guaranteed and Doc could arrive sooner. You stated on a recorded line Doc could not arrive before August 19th. You said that the 20th is preferred but that you could make the 19th work if necessary. Doc arrived on 8-19, not before, as you stated. Most folks are very eager to get their new family member and we work hard to get them there as safely and efficiently as possible. As you stated Doc was raised on a farm. Pups in this environment will of course run, romp, play, and wrestle with the other pups and dogs for hours on end. This will of course show in their appearance. A farm raised, well socialized puppy is always going to appear a bit different than a puppy raised in a house and taken outside occasionally to a well manicured yard. We’re certain that Doc will quickly adjust to his new lifestyle with you and with your loving care his appearance will also adjust. White pups also usually have discoloration in certain areas that is more prevalent the more time a pup spends outside. Usually their belly and feet as well as the areas around their mouth and eyes. All of our pups come with a comprehensive health guarantee. If you have issues such as Kennel cough that you mentioned please submit your Veterinarian documentation for review. But also please be aware that the stress and anxiety of travel frequently will cause pups to aspirate and cough. This will usually pass rather quickly on its own as they settle in with their new family. This was addressed by our concierge during their call with you discussing all the things to know and be aware of to be prepared for your new pup. The last Item we can address is the breeder referring to Doc as Panda. The breeder may use any name for their own records and marketing purposes. At Pawrade we also assign each pup an identification number. If you have any other questions and concerns please contact us directly.

Working with Pawrade was easy and seamless. We received our Basset Hound in August. Dixie was her name now Magnolia. It was pure pleasure working with them. Our sweet, little girl is everything that was promised and then some. Not only did Pawrade keep in touch with us so did the breeder and still does. I would and have recommended Pawrade to anyone in search of a new puppy. Thank you Pawrade for filling the empty space in our hearts with love after losing our previous Basset Hound, Molly. We feel very lucky that somehow you found us..

If you are someone who likes Communication when making a big purchase, this may not be the best route. This was the first time our family has purchased a dog through a third-party out of state situation like this, it was a lot of money and we had a lot of nerves. I did not feel like this company really tried to make that better for us, they communicated, but with a week or more in between and sometimes only answering two of the eight questions We had asked via email or Voicemail. That part of the situation was very very frustrating. I think anyone making a large investment in something they care a lot about, deserves a little bit better customer service. Don’t ignore the reviews that talk about this, it is FACT. I felt ignored, more than one time during this process. Because of that we did decide to never do this route again. It felt stressful and I think that’s the whole point of doing it like this ( thru a third party) is to avoid all the stress. That’s not something I felt this company did. We also asked for the registration information for the parents, we were told they were from champion bloodline so we wanted to do some research on them, We were told we were unable to get that information until our dog was in transit. But even once she showed up, we did not receive that information. It’s kind of hard to spend several grand on a dog that’s supposed to be pure bred without any kind of proof that she actually is. BUT, The breeder Donna was very accommodating, sending pictures a few times for us over the eight week waiting period. She did a three way call with us that did put some of our fears at ease. We wished we could’ve worked with her more directly. She gave us the most adorable puppy we ever could have asked for. She is sweet, snuggly and full of fun. The entire family is madly in love with her! We have named her Ai (ah-ee) which means love in Japanese. My review of this company is simple, if you like communication, great customer service, and feeling like your concerns or needs matter, maybe don’t go this route. They clearly have a system and like to avoid what they consider nuisances, but their system needs some work. My stress level could’ve been cut in half if they would’ve just responded to my messages within 48 hours and with responses to all of my concerns, not just some of them. We are grateful that the situation is over and that our cute dog is in our hands finally! We appreciate Donna, and would recommend her as a breeder anytime, but in regards to this company, I would give its 6 out of 10. Also, don’t expect them to answer your call once you make a down payment, I suggest pressing the option that says “you’re interested in a puppy”. You get a live person every time. If you say you already have a puppy reserved, you will be sent to voicemail.
