I wanted a Havapoo puppy but found no breeders close to me but in my Internet search I found Pawrade. I read their processes and reviews and decided to use them for my search. I can’t tell you how happy I was throughout the entire process from beginning to end! We got our little Addy via a very impressive puppy transport van at 20 after midnight on New Year's Day. If you are interested in getting a puppy from a reputable bender, please go through Pawrade!

I can’t speak highly enough about our experience with Pawrade. The people were honestly concerned about the welfare of the animals above all else, which is what you want when buying a dog or cat. They treated us with kindness and respect, answered all our questions and concerns. The puppy arrived in the peak of health with not so much as a flea on her!! We cannot thank them enough.

My $5,000 puppy looked as if he was from a puppy mill my vet said. He had severe itching and dandruff, he did not get fist shots (life threatening neglect) he had ear mites and in poor shape and he reeked. Vet also said must have been fed poor diet. It was pathetic, the company does not really check the breeders out. He continues to have skin problems which maybe for a lifetime,The vet who checked him prior to flying was a quack and lied about pups condition.
Response from PawradeJan 27, 2025
Dawn, we are sorry to hear that you are not completely happy with your pup. All of our pups are properly and fully vaccinated in accordance with the state in which they are bred. This may differ from the guidelines of your state and this sometimes can be confusing for your vet. Its not possible to "miss" a first vaccine it just my be at a different time that what your vet may expect for your state. Your pup was inspected by a USDA licensed Vet and your breeder is also fully licensed and inspected. We absolutely do not associate with andy breeder that could be considered a "puppy mill" in any way. If you have not already please be sure to submit your Vet documents to [email protected] so that we can open a Helath Guarantee claim for you and get your pup taken care of.

I recently had an experience with Pawrade that I felt should be shared with potential puppy owners. I was drawn to their promise of connecting families with responsible breeders. I reserved our Mini Dachshund on 12/12/2024 after a couple of weeks of research on the company and service. From the beginning, I felt that communication was very prompt and helpful and was pleasantly surprised at how easy the actual transaction was. I spoke with several employees of Pawrade and truly appreciated the friendly, fast responses and the clear process which was extremely easy to navigate. All along, my biggest fear was getting a puppy from a puppy mill or similar situation but given that Pawrade’s stance of “No Puppy Mill Pledge” was loud and clear on their website, I felt confident that I was making a good decision. My puppy was ready to leave the breeder on 12/27/24 and on 12/28/24, I requested the breeder’s name. Come to find out, my breeder is employed by Pawrade as a “Performance Specialist” with her role being described on their website to “help guide breeders through their sale from start to finish." How could the same people guiding the breeders be the breeders themselves? Are all of the Performance Specialists also breeders? I am left with these questions- 1. Does this breeder have an active USDA license and/or why they are exempt (given that they used to own 250-300 dogs in recent years per USDA inspections, I question it). 2. Under USDA’s requirements, breeders who breed puppies to be sold as pets must be USDA licensed if they have more than four breeding females and sell puppies wholesale, or sight unseen to pet stores brokers and/or online. Would like to understand why they wouldn’t be licensed given the online/sight unseen portion of the USDA’s requirements. 3. How is it acceptable for this breeder to be an employee of Pawrade and a breeder providing puppies via Pawrade without any sort of disclosure or transparency? 4. How many other Pawrade employees are also breeders that are actively selling puppies to Pawrade? 5. Given the past breeding practices of this particular breeder, why are they allowed to be within Pawrade’s network given the No Puppy Mill Pledge the company allegedly stands for? Was Pawrade aware of their former breeding practices and the fact that they owned 250-300 dogs per the USDA’s inspections for multiple years in a row? Ultimately, I encourage anyone and everyone considering the purchase of a puppy through Pawrade to proceed with caution and to do their own research about the breeder for their potential puppy before they are locked into a contract. Pawrade should provide the breeder’s information prior to a customer signing the contract and reserving the puppy. Personally, I would only purchase another puppy from a USDA-licensed breeder that has completed and passed regular inspections. Customers should be privy to that information so that they have a choice. Most importantly, Pawrade should be up front with customers and clearly state on their website or within their employees’ overview when an employee is also a breeder providing puppies to Pawrade’s customers. This would eliminate any questioning and doubts around their business practices. Fortunately, our puppy arrived at our home happy and healthy although we suspect she may be deaf (Waiting on further testing and confirmation. I fully support purchasing through ethical and licensed breeders and am seeking to understand a few key points on this particular breeder and Pawrade’s oversight practices. Ultimately, transparency is key. Editing to respond to Pawrade: Thank you for the response. I’ve had some interaction with the breeder and she’s been very kind. Thankfully, after another vet appt, we’ve confirmed that our puppy isn’t deaf (thank goodness) but had a pretty bad ear infection which has since been treated. I’m changing from 3 to 4 stars based on your thoughtful response and the breeder’s outreach and concern. Thank you!

Hey Crystal, Thank you for choosing pawrade and thank you for your detailed review. We are so happy to hear that we were able to help you adopt a perfectly happy and healthy pup just as promised. All of our breeders have the required licenses and inspections from the USDA as well as any applicable local authorities depending on their location. The volume of puppies produced by a breeder has absolutely nothing to do with being a "puppy mill". It is all about the quality of the pups produced and the care they receive. Toyota certainly produces a lot of cars and arguably the best. We have breeders of all types from "mom and pop" who do it mostly for the love of the dogs to true professionals with million dollar facilities. It is true that we have two employees who are also breeders. They are professionals who do an amazing job producing wonderful pups. Why wouldn't we want their knowledge and experience working to make our business even better? Who could know better than breeders with years of experince in this industry? Our employees who may happen to also be breeders are held to the same standard as every other breeder and receive to special treatment in any way. If anything they are held to a higher standard with no excuses accepted. Should you have an issue with your pups hearing as you indicate here please be sure to submit all your Vet documents to [email protected] so that we may open a helath guarantee claim and get you taken care of.

A little bit of a conflicting review. I am thankful for the overall end result of finding a puppy through a site such as Pawrade. Initially in the beginning I thought it was a scam as we proceeded through the motions. At the time we found our pup and made the purchase, it was a day or two before Christmas Eve. So keep that in mind. My first initial contact was Michaela who was absolutely fantastic to work with. Once things were handed over to a puppy travel customer service, things went quiet with very little to no communication. Mind you, this was during Christmas and New Years so when days went by and unable to make any contact, (even though the site says available daily) there was a lack of communication on their operating hours on that week in-between Christmas and New Years. Turns out, the travel agent assigned to my file was out sick and that is totally understandable, but nothing was internally communicated to pass it over to someone who could help me acquire the information I was needing and keep the motion rolling until I made additional calls and got re-assigned someone else who could take over. During this time, (and when I could not reach my assigned customer service agent) I had to make several calls to reach someone to get information. But even in these moments, if I reached someone who couldn't necessarily help me, someone was contacted internally and someone who could help, got back to me. The problem I was facing, was arranging a seven hour road trip to get the pup, run a business, get employees situated and dealing with potentially hazardous traveling conditions so I had to get things lined out and time kept chugging along. Once everything was officially said & done, I learned that there are a lot more hoops to jump through, going through these website companies, vs direct with a breeder. But if not for Pawrade, I may have never met these amazing breeders. Michaela was so good to work with through all this at Pawrade and even if she could not help me directly with certain things, she listened and helped navigate the waters to those who could. I feel Pawrade could work on improvements with internal communications & business structure and being more on top with transparency to the public on their holiday operating hours. And lastly, I would recommend keeping it to one person through the entire experience instead of multiple people which is resulting in communication breakdown. If I could have been with Michaela from start to finish, it could have likely been a much smoother operation. But in the end, a beautiful end result, a super healthy & gorgeous pup. The breeders are amazing people and we are blessed to start a new journey with our boxer pup. Just bear in mind, there are a hoops to jump through for pawrade's legal protection in the process. But they mean well for everyone involved.

Hey RJ, thank you for the detailed and honest reveiw. We do apologize for the speedbumps. Your assessment is fair and accurate. it was definitely complicated by the holidays and the associated fury of activity. it also true that your travel rep did fall ill as well. No excuses but just a bit of an explanation. We will take your constructive criticism to heart and thank you for choosing Pawrade.
