It was comforting to have contact with the vet on the weekend when my normal vet is not available. She listened to the concerns, watched the videos that I sent her and gave me assurance that I was on the right track in understanding what was happening with my dog, with suggestions of what to do until I could get to my vet if necessary after the weekend.

Panicked fur mom
Well my fur baby sent me into a panic late yesterday evening and all the local vets were closed. She just started coughing out of nowhere and since she's a little over 10 years old I was worried. We had an appointment with a CVT and before the call ended my baby was sleeping and breathing normally!!!
Response from PawpJan 26, 2026
Hi Dareon, Thank you so much for sharing this. We know how scary moments like that can be, and we're really glad our care team could help bring you some peace of mind. Hearing that your fur baby was resting and breathing normally by the end of the call means a lot to us!

It wasn’t just a sales pitch for…
It wasn’t just a sales pitch for products sold by Walmart. The vet had told me what I was looking at how to deal with my dogs condition. I asked about the medicine so I’m currently giving my dog and they knew what those medicines were and how they react to my dog, which was very beneficial to me. It was a very personal visit. The app has some problems. It asked me to upload some pictures for the health check and it just wouldn’t go. That was very disappointing. So the app needs some work. It has to upload pictures so I took live pictures instead of from my photo album. I could see the picture it came out right but it just wouldn’t upload.

Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to share this thoughtful feedback. We are really glad to hear that your visit felt personal and that our vet was able to help you understand your dog’s condition and current medications in a meaningful way. That kind of support is exactly what we aim to provide.
We are genuinely sorry about the frustration you experienced with uploading photos in the app. That is disappointing, especially when you are trying to get help for your pet, and it is feedback we take seriously. Our team is actively working on improving image uploads and overall app reliability.
Thank you again for your honesty. It helps us continue improving the experience for pet parents.

My first encounter with a live Pawp rep…
My first encounter with a live Pawp rep was very satisfying.
I was asked several vital questions, and the rep did some quick research and answered my concerns very adequately.
I am very impressed with the patience and knowledge exhibited in this encounter.
The only thing that could make this a better experience is if it had happened verbally rather than by text. I don't do text well.
Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the experience

Horrible Scam?!
Date submitted claim to PAWP:
11/21/2025. Via their mobile app per their instructions. Mobile app claims I should hear back in 5 to 7 business days.
Amount of money I have paid to PAWP:
I have had a paid membership for 5 years with PAWP. My monthly membership fee initially $19.00 per month and was increased to $24.00 per month sometime in the last year or so. I estimated what I have paid to PAWP over the past 5 years is around $1,200 dollars.
What the business committed to provide to me:
Provide emergency protection. My emergency fund reimburses me up to $3,000 for one unexpected life-threatening emergency per year to any pet added to my account. My dog, Sophie, was an added pet.
What the nature of the dispute is:
I believe PAWP is acting in bad faith and giving me excuse after excuse. I filed my claim on 11/21/2025, was told I would hear back in 5 to 7 business days. Today is 1/19/2026. I have sent them several follow-up messages asking for the status of my claim, with their only response being my claim is being reviewed. I am not even sure the response I am receiving is from a human; their responses look like AI responses and are not indicative of a message from a human person. Also, there is no phone number to call, as I have asked them to call me, or me to call them, with no response. The only way to contact them during this frustrating period seems to be the app and seems to be canned and/or AI responses.
My claim ID is PAWP002691 and requested amount is $2,667.46. My dog was extremely sick, in and out of the emergency vets’ offices, and subsequently died within the 3-day period. It was completely unexpected, and all emergency documentation was sent with my claim.
Whether or not the business has tried to resolve the problem:
No, they have not. They have not even tried. Besides getting AI Bot responses, it is well past the 5 to 7 business days for a claim review. This company has extremely poor communication avenues and I do not feel customers should be treated this way.

My dog was seen in the ER on 11/6 and I…
My dog was seen in the ER on 11/6 and I submitted my claim on 11/12. The claim was not approved until 12/15!!! It states on the app that claims are to be approved between 2 and 5 days. And their worthless AI bots could never provide an update aside from a boilerplate cut and paste wE ArE bUsY.
Then the money was not deposited until 1/10!!! Absolutely ridiculous. It is only supposed to take 2 to 5 days to deposit the money!! Virtually no customer service and there is no phone number to contact them. They rely on AI and from
Other reviews I can tell this company sucks at everything.
