The PASS program was exactly what I needed to be successful on my retake of USMLE Step 1. After failing on my first attempt, my self esteem and desire to pursue medicine were almost non-existent. The PASS program was sent to me by three different people, and I am glad that I made the decision to sign up for it. There are different enrollment options to fit everyone’s schedules and deadlines. I enrolled in the 5-week live-online course and attended morning questions for the program duration. Upon completion of the program, I continued with additional morning questions and tutoring sessions to focus on the PASS methods and on topics that I wanted to reinforce prior to taking my exam. These supplemental sessions were an integral component of my success. Every tutor was phenomenal- patient, knowledgeable, supportive. Throughout the entire program, Dr. Francis made so many connections with content, and he also had a way of motivating me and making me realize that I am more than capable. He has this uncanny ability to make you truly understand the content of the course, specifically physiology, which was something I struggled with during medical school. The structure and organization of the course are based on notes as well as patterns/clues to answer questions. Having this knowledge base and structure saves time on the real exam and gives you time for those tougher questions that will inevitably show up during your prep and on test day. With that being said, you have to do the work and be committed to the program and process. The lecture days are long. However, the reward of going into an exam feeling empowered to answer the questions the test writers give you is beyond worth it.

Decided to wait until I was done with the program as I was sent this trust pilot in the middle of the program. I personally would not recommend this program again only from an online student perspective. I had tutoring and did the extended program with Dr. Francis. Firstly, the tutors, are always different, never the same. I found them to be quite cold, and misunderstanding when it comes to students feelings. If a student tells you they are dealing with a chronic illness, maybe dont suggest that they should be waking up at 5:30am to start studying? And to use my First Aid book to roast marshmallows? Honestly if you choose to use this program - I would STILL use first aid. I cannot stress this enough. They would constantly say how you dont need it, however, Dr. Francis doesnt cover much for NBME material, step 1, sure, but not any better. Also, when you follow along (book and lecture) it makes NO sense..... the book doesnt match, so you will spend more time CTRL+F on the PDF than actually being able to focus in class. Honestly, the price, not worth it in my humble opinion, but the only good that came out of it is that I thought myself more outside the course than while in it. Personally would not recommend this program, just because of the lack of tutors sincerity and the poor organize of this entire course. IMO... stick with Anki, First Aid, USMLERX, UWorld, Pathoma, B&B. Promise you'll be golden and say thousands.

it was an amazing journey, good environment, very professional personel, Dr Francis is an excellent professor he has all the patient of the world to make you understand medicine. can't say enough, i wish soon i can take the test an be one of those giving testimony a day after morning question.

The administration and every instructor have the student's best interest in mind. They will work with your schedule as much as they can. If you are preparing for the COMB and Steps exams, this is the place for you. You will not only be prepared to pass your exam, but also to be one of the best doctor out there.

This test is about the test itself. The true test is how well you were able to balance, your mental, physical and spiritual health while under pressure for a high-stakes exam. You need to make sure that you have everything you need (i.e. food shelter, water, exercise, vitamins, community positive environment, and a level of enjoyment) while taking this test. I took the Pass Program Online and I was forced to create this environment for myself outside of the daily lectures. In my opinion, community, structure, and a positive environment allowed me to pass this exam. The material taught at the PASS Program is broken down into patterns, and if you have a basic knowledge base and are willing to continue to apply the patterns by the end of the fourth week of the 5/6week program things will begin to click. Dr. Francis is a great orator, and he will tell you to understand that material rather than reading and reading, and writing it down. His speech about knowing normal prior to understanding pathology is key! If you know normal, then the abnormal will be able to be spotted from a mile away. If you have taken a leave of absence from medical school, and need structure and community from people who are potentially in your cohort of testing, I would definitely recommend this course and attempting to take it in person!
