The program was helpful. However, it seemed to end abruptly. Choice of continuing tutors was limited.

People who left contact info didn't respond to emails I sent them: phoebe pochcial dr. González Hernández. I worked with a tutor on my own for drilling and evaluating my assessments. Selectively attended step 1 lectures, but attended all step 2 CK lectures . I had a PDF of the course textbook, but no access to a physical copy. Hard to get noticed online. Minimal improvement on assessments before and after pass. Surprise to no access to morning questions link after course date.

I really enjoy Dr. Francis' teaching style. He is very engaging and connects the concepts to promote understanding. He teaches physiology really well. There can be improvement with the way biochemistry and biostats is taught. It would also be helpful to have most of the lectures on the scheduled days (it has been running over time more often than not), which can be very intimidating for students that need to retake their exam soon. The course is very expensive, but does not include ethics nor practice questions or exams. I am grateful that the live course is recorded, however it does not include tutoring hours. It would be helpful if the drill ppts were made available to students. The provided Quizlet is helpful, but can also be updated as there are a few items that are incorrect. The OMM portion of the class was not communicated well during the first week and not as helpful throughout the course.

No doubt the pass program is good and Dr. Francis is a great teacher. The morning questions & drills are great, and repeating concepts throughout the course helps reinforce learning. However, the STEP 1 schedule needs to be revised. In the first week, there is so much emphasis on biochemistry which needs to shortened to give more time to topics that come during the 4th/5th weeks. Too little time (1-day) each is devoted to GI phys/path, Renal pays/path, Neuro pays/path, Pulm pays/path and Repro pays/path. These topics are heavily covered on STEP and I feel they were too rushed and some topics were not finished. Cardiac physiology was the one topic that was covered in depth but it was a bit disorganized in my opinion - I don't understand why Heart failure and MI was covered in week 3 before Cardiac physiology late week 4. In general normal biochem/physiology is heavily emphasized and Pathology gets the short end. This may be good/bad depending on the student's weak point. Ideally, take this program if you have time (at least 2 weeks) to self-study after it ends and before your test date. Weekdays run long, and you also need to self-study after class. You also need a day off during the weekend to rest so self-study time throughout the program is limited.

Overall, my experience with the PASS program has been a good one, but there have been several lessons that I did not have PowerPoints for. I contacted customer service about one in particular, but the response took quite a while and I didn’t want to waste time waiting for other responses. I understand that this is a bit of a transitional period for the program, and I can appreciate that- I just wish that didn’t involve me paying for an incomplete program. Over all, I feel like I’ve grown a deeper understanding of the concepts that I’ve struggled with for the past two years, and test taking skills that have made a huge impact on practice tests.

Never received my book. Sent an email to ask why I hadn’t received the PASS program book yet, but never received a reply. Otherwise content of videos is great. Dr Francis is very knowledgeable.

I signed up for the online course because of COVID. If you don't mind being ignored while his favorite students are shown favor/preferential treatment, then this might be the program for you. Things might be different in person. Also, be wary of the number of positive reviews. Most of them are written in exchange for something from the the program.

Not just Dr Francis should be engrossed with customer services n satisfaction. It should be everyone's heart beat. When you win an argument against your customers you have lost. In service business customers deserve to be pleased.
