Park West is so disappointing! We purchased a painting from them in January of this year and everything went fine with it, so we purchased 7 more pieces in August. What a mistake!!! We were told we would have our pieces in 8-12 weeks. It has now been over 20 weeks and we still do not have all of them. One piece was a wedding gift for our son, it arrived a month after his wedding. Another was a Christmas present and 1 week after Christmas we still have no idea if we will ever see it. When we inquire, we either receive no response or lies. For example, in one response they implied the artist still needed to complete the painting. It was a limited set; it was completed long ago. I'm sure Michael Godard is not waiting to paint the pieces as I purchase them. Additionally, DO NOT EVER sign up for their weekend art auctions. We cannot get updates from Park West on our missing items we paid for over 5 months ago, yet they text us around 4-6 times per week and email us around 10 times per week EVERY WEEK about their lousy weekend auctions. I have asked repeatedly to be removed from their lists yet they continue to stalk and bother us. If you want me to spend more money with you, you should first fulfill your obligations with the items I have already purchased. STAY AWAY from Park West. They do not know what customer service is. We obviously spent a LOT of money with them and yet we cannot get an ounce of respect or service from them.

We were sold the wrong piece of artwork. It seems as though the "sales idiot" didn't write down the proper name. Park West said there was no problem and to just return the wrong one and they would send the right one to us. Once they got the wrong one back, it became a rat's maze to try to find out anything about the replacement. After 2 weeks of run arounds, I finally contacted VISA and made a complaint. Then, today, another 2 weeks later, I get an email that my piece was going to be shipped and it will take 12 more weeks. All told, it will be 26 weeks for the piece. I did respond to them telling them to take it up with VISA now. I have bought 3 pieces of art from them so far and, I have 2 more cruises booked. I think now, the Mrs. and I will just walk by their displays. I wish I would have looked them up online before sailed.

3 art works needed to be returned , defective frames. They sent return cartons to incorect addres 3x! They finally sent to correct address and issued FedEx call tags. 2 of 3 lost. They would not followup with FedEx saying we signed a release. FedEx would not talk to us becuase we were not the shipper. 30+ E-Mails (Zelle Nelson) they stopped returning E-Mails. Surely they insured $20,000 worth of art. Put in a claim and send me appraised value cost.

Park West gallery repeat customer since 2006. Art is extremely subjective as it comes in a vast variety of forms. It's pure and real value is only what somebody else is willing to pay for it. If you buy a work of art because you 'like' it, you're not to be concerned with it's purported value. If you buy a work of art as an investment, based on its purported 'value', you should be sure that it is a hand-signed original, one of a kind, or extremely limited edition that comes with a 'Certificate Of Authenticity' (COA) at the very least. If framing is offered go ahead and get it framed because you won't like the prices back home. In time you may want to part with your art due to personal or financial concerns or maybe because you found something better that will fit that spot. In any case, prepare yourself for the shock of the "Secondary Market". Much like an automobile, once your work leaves the hands of the primary seller, or artist, the 'appraised' value decreases by nearly 50% or more, depending on the originality and quality of the work. The primary seller will never acknowledge to you the existence of a secondary market or the prorated value after the sale. If the primary seller is able to furnish you with an appraisal, the appraisal will reflect an inflated speculatory number, created in-house by the seller, similar to a 'Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price' for automobiles. And much like a used vehicle, your trade in value will be depreciated also. Since I started cruising in 2006, I have obtained over 100 so-say works of art. Many are merely prints or copies of original art. My date of experience as shown here reflects the last opportunity I had to purchase more art from Park West on a cruise ship. I refrained since I am now aware of the 'Secondary Market'. Regardless of the valuation given from the primary market, most of the works of art will only fetch 50% or less than what you paid for them. Surprisingly, commissions in the secondary market are as high as the primary market, and many of the commissions are greater than the 'Secondary Markets' appraisal of your art. Imagine you paid $4,000 for a work of art which is valued at $8,000 and when you list it through a brokerage you have to list it near $2,000. They will get up to a $1,000 commission no matter what it finally sells for. And, if it sits too long, they will expect you to drop the price again and, they may or may not take a cut in their commission to do so. Yes, art is a very suggestive and expensive liquid market. If you see something at a Park West auction that you like, search the internet for it first. Many 'Park West Auction' buys are now on eBay, Amazon, Etsy and several other websites that resell art. You just might be buying one of mine....

I still do not have my painting, 9/9/22. I ordered it on 6/1/22 on board of a NCL cruise ship. Norwegian doesn't want to hear about it. Park West gives me the run around. $1500.

In July of 2022, I purchased art at a VIP event where the sales people there basically stood over you if you were interested in any piece of Art, and they kept saying how you can collect this great “one of a kind” art from these “important” artists – what a bunch of crap. The real scam here is that the art is pretty much worthless, although they go out of their way to tell you it is worth a lot of money, including providing outrageous appraisals; conveniently done in-house; not by any outside appraiser. I cannot get any reputable art dealer, outside of the organization, to give me an appraisal on a single piece of the art work. I have been told by multiple appraisers that the art is worth whatever I can sell it for on eBay; which is very little. Park West’s practice of selling their art is basically predatory. At this point, I have only received one of the six paintings I ordered, and I would like to get my money back for the works I have not received, and also return the one I have for a full refund; as I do not want to pay $25,000.00 for art that is basically worthless. No one buys “one of a kind” art just for the beauty—you buy because you think it is worth something, and will increase in value. I feel very duped by this scam company. They will respond that they do not provide refunds, however, it is shady business practice to take someone for $25000.00 for something that is worth less than $500. Do not buy from them.

I wrote a review that was pretty lengthy. Just know if you don’t buy an original you may not be getting what you think. I bought what I thought was one of 200 of a embellished print only to see the appraisal and realize there were thousands made in 200 blocks. Not as unique as I thought. If I did not get an ok price and the frame was not redone I would be sending it back. Definitely not an investment like I thought. Or as much as I hoped.

Here is an update to my last review in May 2022 for Park West Gallery. So after having to contact the artist, Yes I had to contact the actual artist in order to finally get some satisfaction… they got in contact with ParkWest main office and lit a fire under somebody’s ass there and all of a sudden the piece that I was told by Jameson, (Park West Gallery in Las Vegas Caesars) that was in framing for over two months was never even in their possession. Within a week that piece was expedited from Florida to me in Canada. Then for all of this trouble I was offered a $250 credit voucher to use for a another purchase from ParkWest or a little bit less cash value if there was nothing of interest in store. I was given the option to look first and use the $250 or I could get a hold of them later and request the cash payout. Well upon returning to the Park West gallery in Las Vegas, I had a deal made on a piece however they refused to honour the $250 credit unless I paid a higher price… Some credit! Whether it’s a credit voucher, a gift certificate, etc. this amount was supposed to come off the price of the piece that I had dealt on. I contacted Park West offices the next day to let them know my dissatisfaction once again with their gallery in Vegas. At that time I requested the cash payout to be credited back to my credit card and was told this would be processed. Two months later I am still getting the runaround from ParkWest offices. I’ve been promised this cash credit is in process and that it was even put in as “high priority”. Well I don’t know what their definition of high priority is, it’s more like no priority when it comes to customer satisfaction. I contacted them this week, again, and was told its being processed but will take up to 60 days… thats what they told me two months ago! In closing obviously Park West Gallery in Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas, and from other reviews, the whole company is a place to avoid, they are nothing but liars and cheats. Park West has no problem taking your money but when it’s time to get your products or in my case a refund they drag their heels… Stay away from these thieves!
