Our experience with Park West on the cruise ship was mixed, as I see many other reviews were as well. The salespeople were very friendly, and overall we enjoyed the auction and the experience. However, during their contests, we won 3 prints, which were announced as free, including frames and shipping. We also purchased two paintings. We chose other frames for the paintings, and we received all within a reasonable timeframe. My issue is that we were charged $400 for each print to cover the frames and shipping, almost 1,200 total. The salesperson did not discuss these extra charges. We would never have agreed to accept these prints had we known the additional cost for framing and shipping. When I called Park West regarding this, I was told that they were sorry this happened, but the prints could not be returned, and no adjustments could be made to our account. So just beware.

The experience on the ship was fun and exciting, unfortunately I was not told the truth. I was told the piece I purchased was the last one in inventory and it would take longer to receive because it had to get off the ship and be thoroughly cleaned before shipping. The piece I received wasn’t the same piece, it had a flaw inside the acrylic that wasn’t in the piece I saw on the ship. Additionally, I was told the piece had a value of $11,000+, however, the appraisal was $5700, just over what I paid!!!! I really feel this was a bait and switch. When contacting customer support they agreed to send me a non flawed piece even though they say they didn’t have to, they were doing me a favor! Never again! Not only was this a pain, I feel I over paid and was told untruths, I will never enjoy the piece in the same way I expected.

I am sharing my experience so that other buyers can make an informed decision. I purchased artwork from Park West Gallery with the expectation of receiving reasonable guidance and support throughout the delivery and import process, especially given the premium nature of the purchase. Unfortunately, that was not the case. After the artwork was shipped internationally, it became stuck in customs due to missing or unclear information that, during the sales process, I was explicitly told was “just a formality” and would not cause any issues. Once the problem arose, I received no practical assistance from Park West Gallery to help resolve the situation. Instead of offering support or solutions, all communication after the issue focused exclusively on pointing me back to contractual clauses, without acknowledging how the situation had been handled or the expectations set during the sale. The tone shifted from attentive and proactive before the sale to distant and procedural once a problem occurred. While I understand that contracts exist to define responsibilities, I believe a gallery operating at this level should also demonstrate accountability, transparency, and customer care when complications arise — especially when those complications stem from guidance provided by their own representatives. Ultimately, this experience led me and my family to decide that we no longer wish to engage with Park West Gallery in any capacity. I hope this review helps other collectors understand what to expect should any issues arise after purchase.

The art is not legitimate and I always get the wrong frame. The staff was lovely except the auctioneer Lee, he was so rude and condescending. He continuously would say rude things on the mic and speak in a different language.

I bought what was promoted as an original painting at a Park West VIP event. I personally viewed it. I had pictures taken of me with the painting and the artist. I didn’t receive it for 3 months. The painting I received was not the original that I purchased. Park West gave me an incredibly hard time about returning it. They charged me a return fee. I disputed with them numerous times and they refused to refund me. I do not have the painting but I still am being charged over $3000 for it on their credit card. It has been a nightmare. They admitted it was not the same painting I bid on that I received. I am at a loss and they do not help at all..just repeat that they can’t do anything about it. That’s insane..rip off. Never again.

Prices are good but the auction is deceptive. If you request an item to come up for "bid" they consider the request itself a bid at the opening price and a final sale (no backing out). If it's a print they have multiples of, they sell at opening price to each "bidder" so it's not really being auctioned and you are buying not bidding.

Was on Carnival cruise in March. Bought some artwork and was happy with the expereince. However my advise is not to apply for their credit card. They approve and right away put a hold on the funds on the card before even sending artwork. Was told on the cruise the credit limit would cover the art. That was not true. The sales team on the ship were great, dealing with Park West now is a nightmare. Once (If) I get all my artwork I will be cancelling the card and never buying from them again.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. After a cruise, I am now waiting for 5 months to have my painting delivered. When customer service finally contacted me I was told that my painting would be shipped after 2 days. It is now 14 days since nothing happened. Congratulations with all your charity, but just deliver what your customers have bought.
