I had a great experience with Own Up. Andrea Rueda was incredibly helpful and connected me to a great local real estate agent, who helped us through the first-time homebuyer process with great patience and insight. A couple time the portal wasn’t working for me over the weekend when we wanted to make an offer and the social media manager connected me to someone who resolved my issue right away.

We were first drawn to Own Up because we could be pre-approved without a hard credit check. We didn't want to risk taking a hit on our credit only to find that we wouldn't be able to buy at the level we were hoping to. Own Up gave us the freedom to enter the housing market with confidence. Then, when we found a house and had an accepted offer, Own Up got us an amazing rate. Our realtor was blown away! The options Own Up gave us allowed us to pick the mortgage package that was best for us, allowing us to reduce our closing costs by taking a slightly higher interest rate (and still at a rate that astounded our realtor!). I'll admit it - our realtor was skeptical when we first sent him the preapproval letter from Own Up and suggested maybe we should work with a local partner. We stuck with Own Up, and we are sure glad we did - and so is he.

I worked with Jenn for several months as I explored refinancing. She always answered my questions and kept me up-to-date with rates. Once I selected a lender, I loved having her as a resource to follow up with as I moved through an unfamiliar process for the first time. She was always incredibly responsive and helpful when answering all my questions. She made me feel confident I was getting the best rates and it was nice to feel like I had extra support every step of the way.

The rate was the best and great service

I had spent a few months calling banks I knew, and never found the great mortgage rates I had been hearing about in the news. I had about given up when I heard about Own Up through an NPR article. I booked an appointment with Oscar the next day, and now, 2 months later, have closed on the refinance of my house at a great rate! Thank you to Oscar for making this such a smooth, and cost-saving experience!!
