Owlet Baby CareReviews of owletcare.com

I find this product great. The camera works great, about 2 seconds relay which is great. It gives me push notifications even when I’m at work or out in the lawn and my girlfriend is home. I don’t understand what everyone else has a problem with. Greatest buy I’ve made for me and my son.

Would give 0 stars if I could. When our baby was born, the Owlet Smart Sock did not fit them. The sock is supposed to cater for "newborns" and so this was pretty stressful at the time! Our baby was born at 7lb 8oz (which is average weight for boys apparently, girls average is less!). So to my understanding, this should have fit as our baby was bang on average size for a newborn! We got in touch with Owlet Support just after the birth. They told us: "It looks like your little one needs grow into it, the sock is covering too much of the foot." This was a pretty disappointing response. We have since waited another month, our baby has grown on track for mid-percentile and still the sock doesn't fit. We have since just bought a different sensor for under the mattress that works great (went for the Angelcare). This was really expensive for us. Overall, we're really disappointed with the product and support service from Owlet.

I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing : ( I purchased the cam2 and sock for my newborn AND another camera for my older boy, so I could use both on the same app. Well, I literally might as well have burned the 640 plus euro- I cannot even get them to set up! You can’t have 5ghz Wi-Fi (only 2.4), yet this is no where on the box so one may be aware before purchasing. Customer service has been horrific. Basically-their answer is to change my Wi-Fi. Yep, no joke. I just don’t see how they can get away with selling these products with no disclaimer. Absolute and utter horrific products, service and support. As one reviewer said their returns policy banks on parents buying their products and not using them until after baby’s arrival. This company deserves reporting to EU Customer Centres Network- and I will be doing just that

I’m surprised to see so many negative comments as I really like the product and I’m very happy with it. I’ve been using it since our daughter was born and had no issues when she’s 4 months now. I can see why people have some issues - the app depends on strong wifi connection so it may be slow or delayed if your wifi is not fast enough (we have 150mb and works fine). If the sock is not put in properly on the feet then it doesn’t reads correctly and can trigger a red warning (it happened to us couple of times - very scary waking up to it - but we realised that my husband put the sock a wrong way). Only one thing for which I gave one star less is that you can’t see the camera at the same time as doubling something else on your phone so it has to be constantly on the Owlet app otherwise you won’t be able to monitor the baby. It would be good to have the option to keep a little window on the screen with the camera and readings same as on YouTube has it while you are browsing other videos. Just a thought for improvement. Otherwise I would recommend it and I’m happy with the product.

I can't believe they are still selling this product. We like many others brought this thinking it would put our minds at rest when our baby is sleeping. I can tell you now it did the opposite as the other reviews state on here: It does not connect or keeps cutting out. The alarm for low oxygen goes off in the middle of the frightening the hell out of you and yet the baby is fine!! And the worst one is that the foot monitor actually burnt our babies foot! Terrible customer services and rude! Brought all of the above to them and there answer was: that we have no legal or medical evidence of this!!! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT !!!

Just RETURN IT! Listing problems with Owlet: - The app randomly shuts off and takes several attempts to get it back on. - It has a delay - sound keeps cutting in and out - it freezes all the time so need to close it down and reopen it. - room temperature feature is not working - takes forever to bring up the camera feed on app - black screen when you try to view baby on camera Many of the issues appear to be with the app and the connection it has with the camera. I brought my issues to Owlet and they said they won't be able to refund me as I bought it through John Lewis, and its been way passed 30 days return policy. They scam you as you wouldn't be using the monitor before the baby is born so if you waited to use the monitor months after the baby is born (passed the 30 days) there is no way of returning it for a refund... they've scammed me! Just buy a cheap camera system from amazon!

Daily issues with Camera need to re-open app 2/3 times for the camera to work. Tonight I’m having issues with Sock 3 as well.

Baby camera is a disaster. Oxygen and HR monitor did its job… can’t really complain but baby camera is the worst product of this nature I had. It poorly connects to my phone app, always gets frozen, very slow to open. Also, I don’t recommend getting baby camera and watching your baby through your phone app - eats battery in a heartbeat and you can’t use your phone during a baby nap time. Stay away from this cam- there are way better baby monitors out there.
