We installed the 12V Summit 2 this spring on our 1964 Aristocrat Lil Loafer and then enjoyed a wonderful summer vacation in Colorado. We were able to use it a few times when the temperatures were in their 90's at it was great! We have Renogy flexible solar panels on the roof and a 100Ah 12V LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Battery. We drained the battery a couple of times so we will look at buying another battery or two and putting them in parallel for the future trips. The customer service was wonderful when we were installing the AC unit and had questions. Delivery was quick and the purchase was easy to do.

I purchased the Summit Flex 12V Dual-Mount (Wall/Roof) Air Conditioner, All-in-One AC for my Camper Van. This unit was a game changer from all the other ones on the market. This unit could be mounted on my rear door, provide heat as well as A/C, be operated off-grid and easily be installed by myself. I used it this summer on some very hot days and was able to be comfortable and able to take the edge off in the morning with the heater. It is a great unit, and I highly recommend it to others looking for the same requirements.

I replaced a 120v AC unit, on my camper van, with a 12v unit. The outside unit was pretty much straight forward and was an easy install. Since I was working by myself, the installation of the controls and trim was a bit more difficult. They are in two pieces and I didn't have enough hands to hold them both up so I used some clear double stick tape to hold the trim in place and the control panel went right in. I did have an issue with an error message, but the tech people solved it quickly. I have tested the unit, but haven't had the opportunity to really try it out yet. It seems to work just fine.

Shipping was fast This summit 2 DC mini split exceeded real world numbers on power draw much lower than expected Installation was quick easy, kit included everything you need and a nice long power lead Moves a lot of air. Super quiet on the decibel level I would recommend this unit I doesn’t get any easier than this Kevin Rude

We swapped out the stock AirConditioning unit on our Class B Van (Winnebago Solis 59PX) to the OutEquipPro 10k BTU unit with heat strip. Our main desire was to be able to run the AC without having to run the generator as we don’t like to be noisy around others when we are camping. Additionally the pro master van only has cooling vents in the front dash so rear passengers don’t get cool very quickly if it’s hot out so we sometimes run the house AC when driving. This OutEquipPro unit is great it’s thinner than the original stock one and has 4 vents instead of 2 so we can redirect the air around the van. We also use it when stealth camping on neighborhood city streets. Before this upgrade we suffered in the heat with portable fans moving air around but we sleep so much better being able to run the AC. We haven’t had a chance to try out the heat feature (our can also has a propane heater) but excited to try it this winter as an alternative heat source. We camp at ski resorts on the weekend and sometimes have visiting family stay in our van during the cold months. Some other nice things that we liked about this unit: - There are two LED lights that can be toggled on/off so it gives us another light option in the rear of the van that we didn’t have before. Not so great: - the remote doesn’t seem to always work when using from the front of the van. Not sure if it’s the angle to the sensor or what but when we try to turn it on/off from the driver seat it doesn’t always work so we have to walk back towards the unit and try again. - would be nice to have an app to schedule times for the unit to turn on/off or trigger remotely via WiFi.
