OptumRx is a joke! I had my doctor send my Rx here so I could get a 90 day supply of my medication and just have it mailed to me. At first I thought everything was fine because on the app (and website) I saw my Rx order and was “in process” - I even received a text telling me everything was good to go and my medication would be ship by a date range. In a couple of days I checked again and my order was CANCELLED but nobody told me. I called their customer service and spoke to someone who could barely speak English who told me it was out of stock and I was put on the “priority waitlist”. Then to my surprise my Rx disappeared from my account all together! I called again and was again told it was out of stock and I couldn’t get on a waitlist until they received more. I was (and still am) very confused! I have no idea if I will ever get my Rx here! I called my doctor and she sent it to a local pharmacy and have at least a month supply. I would never trust OptumRx with any life saving drugs! This company sucks!

When paying for my visit with Dr. Tombach I was told that there was no fee! Asked again as this must be a mistake. No, there was no fee. A week later I received an email that I owed $20 as copay. No mention of the physician. I went to the offfice to pay in person. Two weeks later I received a letter that I owed $20. The letter did not specify the name of the physician. Called his office. No direct line to his office. Tried various other options. Somebody in that mysterious outfit would call me back. That was five hours ago. Now I can either ignore these letters or when the weather allows me to go to the office in person. However, I wonder if that will solve the problem. I wonder if Optum is a scam.

I got to the walk in at 6:20pm. The walk in closes at 7pm. The receptionist tells me the walk-in is at "capacity." I go out to my car and decided to go back in to talk to a supervisor and that same receptionist is checking an elderly man in. I was livid. Don't go to Optum. You will be very disappointed!!

The only reason I'm giving Optum 2 stars is because my dr. an his staff are awesome. The rest of the company, not so much. There are long wait times for appointments. Trying to talk to someone higher up is impossible, they would rather hide under their desk . It has the feeling of corporate greed at our expense . It would be refreshing if there was a face to the company that wold connect to the people it has in its care.

CASE No. 5550471 I ordered a medication I need to sleep through a pharmacy to test to see if they were any better and faster. However, I realized they charge much more, so I asked them to transfer all prescriptions to OPTUM RX, my previous pharmacy. I contacted OPTUM when I noticed they shipped all my medications, but one, the one I need to be able to sleep. So, I called I spoke with a nice lady who promised to ship it FedEx as courtesy. Next morning I checked both places to make sure everything was in order, but no. OPTUM have not shipped my medication and when I called after another 30mminutes explaining everything again, the lady who took forever to understand my situation promised it was being shipped through FEDEX as an emergency. I asked her to transfer that medication to Kroger and she refused because “it was being shipped” lie, lie, lie. I check at 8 PM (Est) to see the status and it had not been shipped and it was only in PROCESS. I asked with a Supervisor, Eirn L., came to the phone and lied to me again. She said it had already been shipped. I could see it very clear on their website that the order was in PROCESS. I asked her to transfer to Kroger, and she said they cannot cancel the order and I had to wait a few days. I begged her to send 2 or 3 pills only to Kroger and she refused. At this time, I cannot only say: They are “unreliable, liars, incompetent”

I had received letters telling me about optum rx and the convenience and cheaper cost and mail in options which all sounded great so I thought I would give it a try, but the experience has been nothing short of painful. First the prescriptions all (by default) auto-fill. Which was fine when we first had a rx sent. But then when we requested another rx be sent we didnt even realize there WAS autofill until I started receiving messages we were going to get an rx sent (for BRAND name) and auto charged a bery expensive charge which of course panicked me. I feel whether rxs are filled as brand name or autofilled at all should setting called out as an option when you FIRST are setting up your account. Secondly, once I became aware of this I went to settings to try to turn it to refill on demand only and I couldnt I had to send a message to a rep to request it which took 4 days and ME following up. I believe this auto fill vs refill on demand should be easily manageable by customer and accessible in settings. Thirdly, once I did send that followup message asking for my rx (with 4 more refills good for a year) to be turned off autofill and set to refill on request only, I received confirmation it was done via email. BUT when I began to run low on the medication and came back to the website I couldn't find the prescription anywhere online so again I had to send a message for a refill. And Instead I received a reply that I had to have a new rx called in. WhY!? So I sent a followup (again) and re stated that I had refills, and gave the name and rx number and Instead they sent a request to my doctor for a new rx. Rxs shouldn't disappear from the site and should remain visible. This is the last straw. I have never left a bad review before in my life but this is repeadedly and for multiple reasonds a beyond terrible experience. Refill experience is overall terrible.

Optum is the worst service in my whole entire life. They took over the list of doctors and block the communication between doctor and patient. Optum has the phone lines connected to their system and it is impossible to talk to my doctor, her assistant and or doctor practitioner. I other words no calls allowed to talk to the doctor. Even appointments must be scheduled via Optum instead of the doctor's office. I will change my Insurance from UnitedHealthCare to any other one that doesn't deal with Optum. I am very angry and frustrated with Optum and the doctors that allow no communication with patients.

I have not been able to secure my maintenance medication for seven months! My Dr has prescribed brand name, generic, sister medications, and none of them at any dose are in stock nor have been in stock all year. They have a raffle system set up that makes it impossible to “win” to get your medication. You get put on a waitlist that expires monthly and your prescription expires every three months even if you never received the medication. I am exhausted and at a loss for what I'm supposed to do. My company switched to OptumRx on January 1, 2024, and I have been unable to fill my prescription even a single time since then. They also combined two different manufacturers of a different medication that I take so that I was unsure if I received the correct medication of a mistake in dispense.
