Gaslit and Dropped — My Experience With Nurx
I was a patient of Nurx / Thirty Madison, Inc. for mental-health and dermatology care (April–Oct 2025). On Aug 13, 2025, I completed a required mental-health follow-up in their portal. For over six weeks, that follow-up sat marked “under review.” My subscriptions and order history disappeared, and when I later submitted a dermatology consult, it replaced the mental-health tracker entirely. Support staff repeatedly insisted I hadn’t completed the follow-up, then later contradicted themselves by confirming I had done it that same day. My dashboard showed missing medical data, and I never received any copy of my records—even after I asked multiple times. They demanded screenshots proving their own data loss before they’d consider sending anything. I provided evidence, but nothing was ever corrected or released. Before August, I already faced week-long waits for responses and serious delays with basic medication questions. Between Oct 13–16, I also stopped receiving any notifications—no emails or app alerts—despite all settings being enabled. Nurx later blamed me for not replying to messages I never received. When I disclosed that I take naltrexone (a prescribed medication) to confirm it was safe with another drug they’d given me, they abruptly terminated my care and sent me substance-abuse resources—misinterpreting my disclosure as addiction treatment instead of responsible medication management. Only after I pushed back did they backtrack and claim I’d have temporary access to a provider for 30 days. They refused to refund two $69 “ongoing-care” charges for months when no services were rendered and only refunded a $40 dermatology consult after weeks of arguing. The combination of lost records, contradictory communication, and gaslighting made this one of the most unprofessional healthcare experiences I’ve ever had. If you value continuity, accuracy, and respect from your provider, avoid Nurx. Their system lost my medical data, their staff contradicted themselves, and they cut off care without warning—all while keeping my money. **Edit to add (because I can’t reply to comments I don’t think…) ** Nurx left a canned “please email us” response, which is ironic considering I’d already sent multiple detailed emails, screenshots, and the exact evidence their own team requested. Each time, their responses shifted — denying what was documented, deflecting responsibility, or twisting details to place blame back on me. They briefly offered small fixes, only to backtrack and close the issue without real resolution. Their public replies read as purely performative, masking a pattern of avoidance and zero accountability behind the scenes.
