We ordered from Nick's because we were told we would have our door in 3 to 4 weeks. It took over 2 months to get our door. Service was disappointing!

Doors are beautiful . Getting them in a reasonable time is difficult .

Door finish marginal/lacking finish. Transom iron work not balanced with door. More quality control needed prior to shipping.

The doors were beautiful. The only problem is that there is 3/4 inch gap between them when they are closed. The strip outside the doors that the doors butt up against had to be removed because they were too far into the frame meaning that the doors wouldn't shut. When I ordered the doors, the service was great, I couldn't have asked for better. When things went complicated though it took us three different people to talk to to get them to understand what was going on. I did not want to put a strip on the backside of the door to keep the light from coming in but that's what we are going to end up doing. Hopefully the stain that was sent will match the doors. Just to be clear, the doors were pre-hung so there shouldn't have been any problem with the doors fitting. The frame fit perfectly in the opening provided. They make a beautiful product but after all the issues that went on after trying to install them and make them look as beautiful as they should, I might consider another alternative..

Quality workmanship but poor customer service. Door sat on their dock and did not ship but they charged me for the balance as soon as it was done, then they forgot to send the interior trim along with it. The excuse was that they had other doors to ship that were there longer and they had to go out in order. Also, not all calls were returned.

We finally got our 2 doors and they are beautiful, but Nick's needs to ship them through a different company. The shipping company lost our doors on a Friday and we had to go through a whole weekend before we could talk to people and get the doors found. When you are building a house you don't need this headache, so I took away a star. Both doors are absolutely beautiful, but when you spend this much money you would expect sturdy thresholds. Apparently, the very thin, very pliable thresholds are metal, but I would expect something sturdier. There goes a star. But, when you look at the doors on the house you see 5 star doors.

System a bit cumbersome and non Responsive.

I had one door with 3 significant scratches and another 2 that the wood wasn't torn but dented.
