It's absolutely ridiculous they think 300 on food is going to last quarterly for 4 months absolutely ridiculous. I definitely want out of this absurdity! Definitely not worth it.!!! I know friends that have different extra benefits and they help Monthly. Trust me I'm definitely calling the other extra benefits place Today. What a crock of Crap!!@

Bait and Switch, Dented Cans that are unusable with poor packing
The first order was shipped without packaging items were beyond useable because they were destroyed in transit. We're talking dented tomato cans (which cannot be used) to the point that they were bent in half. The packing tape is the light packing tape you use for small mailers, so no support there for a 15 lbs box. Body cream everywhere.
Now, this last order they substituted items that had to be given away. If you have severe allergies you just can't take whatever they want to send you. We are on this program because of MEDICAL NEED and REASONS, not because it is a "food and DME bank." I was told that the oil they substituted for "Olive" Oil spray, ($7.00 each I should add when the stores average cost (I checked) for 5 oz is $5.99 tops.
I was sent Canola Oil. Who knows what the next order will do? I can't use it. It was given to the food bank for someone who can.
They don't consider medical conditions or even bother informing you that YOU WILL get whatever they have, not what you need.
Someone from their offices called me two days ago, did not leave an extension or department on who to contact, I was told to simply call the 7/24 number without an extention. And because the "customer service" is done in people's homes, without linking Software to their Mainframe to know that there is a thread issue problem at hand and that it was supposed to be addressed.
I am now out $14.00 that I can't seem to get back on my account all because they can't seem to communicate with their consumers about allowing for substitutions or not.
When you are working with SNP populations and elderly, the allergy and dietary needs for that client are very specific, you just can't dump them with 'whatever'. The whole point is to HELP seniors and disabled....Yes, I want a phone call, but if I am not available (since not all of us sit by the phone waiting for every call in the world, we don't), please leave the department name and extension so we can connect with the right people. Thank you.

NationsBenefits is what my Aetna d-snp…
NationsBenefits is what my Aetna d-snp uses now and I am very upset. The prices for 1 can of vegetables is $3.50! One can. Other prices are high too. If you cannot shop in a store, you are at their mercy of high prices and limited prices because you cannot shop with their "healthy benefit" card online at any store. The card is only accepted at two stores in my area, Walmart and CVS.
Many of the products that are suppose to be on the benefit, do not ring up at the register when I shop in Walmart. When you are on a limited income, it is embarrassing to have to figure out what was not covered and then have the cashier remove it. I did recently find out that you can get reimbursed for these products, but good luck finding out exactly what products were not covered on your receipt and then wait for the check to come in the mail.
This benefit discriminates against homebound recipients. Not being able to order online from a retailer, needs to be changed because of those of us who have to shop online.

USELESS
I have many extensive diseases that require specialized care. Vanderbilt decided to stop taking Humana Gold Care Plus which honestly was an excellent insurance. In order to keep my physicians I had to switch insurance. The only thing available that my doctors would take is for Amerivantage Dual complete. I am dually eligible for both Medicare and QMB. With Humana I received $176 per month that I used online for my grocery deliveries. I specifically asked about these benefits when signing up to Amerivantage. I was told that I would get $150 per month to use on groceries and $50 per month allowance for utilities. I specifically asked if this would work online and explained that I am disabled and have zero transportation. They said yes. So imagine my surprise when I get a nations benefits OTC flex card and discover that you CANNOT use it online! You can only use it in person at grocery stores, go to your utility company every month or buy useless things that aren’t food from their ridiculous catalog! I DO NOT have a way to do ANY of this! Nations Benefits answer was “you can have a family member take you”. Actually no, I can’t. I don’t have a family member that would take me. And before they asked, I don’t have friends or neighbors that will either. That’s what happens when you are stuck in your own home. Now I don’t know what I’m going to do because the benefits are useless to me. When 2024 comes I have to decide if I want to keep my doctors and stay with a company who doesn’t care about their customers or go back to Humana because this obviously isn’t beneficial for people in my circumstances. Hopefully I don’t starve in the meantime.

Fired Them!
On Feb 02, 2023, placed an order at nationsbenefits.com for one(1) Asian cuisine pantry box that consists of Asian fruits and vegetables for $60, and NationsBenefits use FedEx to deliver on Feb 12, and after picking up the box found all fruits and vegetables were spoiled and unedible(see photos)
with an exploded gel pack. Contacted NationsBenefits by phone and website immediately and did a claim for reimbursement and uploaded pictures of the box and spoiled items. I wanted to know why was this not the next-day delivery coming from Plantation FL to Richmond Hill, NY and was FedEx told that the box was perishable and needed to be kept cold. NationsBenefits did standard shipping
that took two weeks from the time ordered in order to save the shipping cost and is now trying to
rob me of my $60, by not responding and ignoring me. NationsBenefits had not reimbursed my $60, and/or sent me a fresh box after contacting them more than seven(7) times. NationsBenefits I want my money back.

Ongoing Problems with Nations Benefits
When I first applied for Medicare via LA Care i never received my Nations benefits card. After numerous phone calls and long wait times to Nations Benefits, I found out they have the wrong mailing address. They have the physical address being different from my mailing address. I have never lived at the address they have on file. So apparently the card was mailed to someone else. Nations Benefits told me the issue was resolved. It was not resolved. I reached out to LA care, and they conferenced me in with Nations Benefits and they both submitted grievance reports and problem reports to get the issue resolved. I finally received the card, but I could not activate it because Nations Benefits had the wrong birthdate. They corrected that problem, and I was finally able to order my items, but I never received them. Fed ex claims they delivered it and they took a picture of the front door of the apartment building for proof. I contacted Nations benefits again and they submitted a reorder request. After several days it finally got approved. I gave them instructions to have fed ex deliver my items to the front door of my apartment and to ring the doorbell. I finally received my items. Oh, i forgot to mention i ask them to send me a catalog and they sent me a catalog in Arabic not English. On 4/1/23 I placed my second order for the quarter online and it was approved but I noticed on the transaction statement that my address is once again incorrect. I tried calling Nations Benefits twice at 3am to discuss the concern and after waiting several minutes no one answered the phone. Please be advised according to my cell phone history I have called Nations Benefits 18 times so far this year. Twice I was told that someone would call me back they never did or I was told to call back in 2 days for an update. Come on Nations Benefits for the love of God will someone please help me. You know my wife, uncle and one of my friends are with Humana and they are very pleased. I am seriously thinking about switching. I hope this helps.

I used my food benefits at a Acme…
I used my food benefits at a Acme grocery store in NJ .They told me I couldn’t use it . Yet they charged my nations benefit debt card 289.00 . Then had me pay cash 💰 from my personal bank debt card . Double dipped . It took over a month to just have it sent back to my Nations benefits card . Only to learn it was put back on the OTC not the food groceries side . It’s Been Since Jan still waiting for Nations benefit to put it in the right place. I call say it’s been declined . Don’t understand. It’s coming up on April 1 which I will be getting 400 again for food . This is unacceptable for supervisors who ever is over seeing this . I am very dissatisfied with the way this has been Handel. Having customer service answering the call all over the state having to ask Supervisors to deal with this to only be in the same spot .
