I have developed several allergies in my late twenties some involving the adhesives used on pads and the frangrance mix used in tampons (even fragrance free products caused me irritation) after feeling hopeless after a menses cycle I saw a Lola ad and figured it was worth a shot- I have used their products for three cycles now and I am quite happy (no allergic reactions since I made the switch) I totally love the delivery system and not having to think about going out and stocking up on supplies - In terms of applicators I get why people arnt into the compact plastic - but to be honest I feel like all compact application options suck and come apart easily- but if they are an issue the cardboard applicators are regular and you don’t need to pull them out to use (I switched from plastic to cardboard but use both really) Packaging is great and love the quotes on the inside makes me smile every time! Ladies embrace this product because it’s amazing!

LOLA really disappointed me. I was excited about receiving my first subscription of LOLA tampons. The packaging is so sleek and cute. So is the website. But their tampons have a funny design and I can't figure out how to use the applicator. I went through 6 tampons and couldn't get it right. Of course it happened when I had a heavy flow. I ended up having to buy $6 organic cotton Tampax from Kroger. Those have a normal applicator, at least. What a disappointment with LOLA. Can I get a refund?

I ordered the super thin and thin maxi pads with wings and was comparing them to Always ultra thin pads with wings. Here's my review: 1- Functionality/durability (0 stars) The pads were not very functional. I understand they are 100% cotton but the powdery white residue left behind on panties after each use is quite annoying. The only way you might not feel dirty is if you wear white panties during your cycle but who does that? The cotton residue also keeps the maxi's from properly adhering to panties when you switch pads. The stickiness of the pads is already a struggle since the pads barely stay put when you first apply them to clean panties, but getting them to stick after switching pads is near impossible. 2- Ease of use (1 star) The packaging is nice, sleek and the easy to remove from the pad. 3- Ease of ordering/cancelling (1 star) It only took a couple of quick clicks to cancel my subscription and I didn't have to call and sit on hold or answer 20 questions explaining my decision. 4- Overall feel (0 stars) These pads were not comfortable at all. The thicker pads feel super bulky and don't absorb as much as my non-Lola pads. My daughter literally walked in the bathroom and said "ooh mommy you're wearing a diaper too!" Also, the pads have that folding twisty effect that causes the back half to go up your bum while wearing them since they don't stick to panties well. The twisty-bum effect happened with both pad sizes...a diaper wedgie effect that was less than pleasurable. Lastly, knowing the pads don't adhere well made me extremely nervous about potential leaks since I had to keep re-adjusting my pads during use. 5- Overall experience (0 stars) I would have awarded 1 star for this if Lola offered free samples, a mini starter pack (that allowed you to order 6 maxi's/tampons just to try out the product before committing to 24), or if they had a return policy (which allowed new users to receive a partial refund if only a small quantity of the product was used and unused product was returned). I received 24 pads and after using 4 pads (2 of each kind) I knew I would no longer use their products for the reasons listed above. I'm all about choosing natural products and going as green as possible but this product unfortunately fell extremely short for me. I was very hopeful but my search will have to continue because these pads are simply not worth the risk of use.

Worst tampons ever, they leak like crazy and don't absorb. Even the super ones. No wonder they're cheap.

I was very excited about these tampons, but had a lot of problems with them. The applicator was not easy to use and made inserting the tampon extremely difficult and uncomfortable. The cotton didn't really absorb and made me very aware that I had a tampon in, which is not something I usually experience. Overall these tampons were very uncomfortable and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to give credit where credit is due. These tampons are great and it's nice knowing that they are made with clean materials. Honestly I haven't really noticed a difference between these and the Tampax that I have been using until now. I definitely don't think they should be getting such low reviews just because people can't figure out how to use the applicator. If you have ever used any travel tampons like Tampax and Kotex have then you should be able to figure these out. For the compact plastic applicator you have to pull out the bottom until it clicks and then you can push the tampon through all the way. One thing I would say on LOLA's end is they could do a better job at making the instruction packet more easy to find or even use graphics on their boxes that show how it works like other brands do. Otherwise they seem great and I like that they deliver and you can customize.

If I could not give this product a no star I would. THIS IS A MAJOR HEALTH RISK! I have been using this product almost a year and felt great that I was using something that “has no chemicals”. Unfortunately at the end of my period on Monday I took the tampon out that wasn’t completely used and the cotton particles slightly fell apart. On Wednesday night I found part of the tampon when my boyfriend and I were fooling around. I will now be following up with an exam from my gynecologist due to risk of TSS, bacteria can grow on leftover pieces of tampons and cause a septic shock infection if left untreated!

I have never gotten so many yeast infections in my life from these terrible tampons something in them makes me itch like crazy! Do not waste your money my tampax tampons have never caused this I will be switching back asap!
