As many others stated, the applicator for these tampons doesn’t seem to work. It’s super frustrating and I’ve wasted a decent amount of the box because of it.

Tried the super pads for heavy periods. I wore these "super" pads on my lighter days, day 6 and 7. I wore super on my first day, and had to immediately switch to the store brand. Ruined a few pairs of underwear. They are also wayyyy too short. Us plus sized women are having trouble because we are not petite even down there. Sticking with my store brand, its been around for decades, and it has been perfected in providing comfort, absorption, and feeling weightless. I feel like Lola was very cheaply made. I know the science with what they are doing is to better vaginal health and all but maybe better the health AND provide products that will last the 4 hours and that will help make sure your underwear isn't soiled. My personal opinion, I feel like they have a long way to go in terms of pads/tampons.

I've used LOLA for 2 months now and the results are pretty good! I had to switch to LOLA because the company I used switched to the more plastic type pads and they irritate my skin and mess with my pH (especially in warm weather!). So far LOLA has been really great. I don't have issues with irritation, there's no weird smell, and they have overnight and winged pads, which some other natural brands don't have. Also, the winged pads do shift a little but if I take the time to press it firmly on my underwear it's not much of a problem. I could imagine pads without wings would be more of a hassle so I don't plan to try them. I did notice these do not hold as well as other pads so I'm scared about leakage but none through my clothes so far since I change them more frequently than other brands. Hopefully this improves over time :) They are a little pricy but I definitely prefer them over the non-natural brands!

I ordered a mix of pads along with light and heavy tampons. I love the tampons and I'm disappointed in the pads. They don't stick to your panties lead alone stay in place while you sleep. I would maybe order the tampons again but definitely not the pads. I prefer to place one order for both but pads are lacking.

You can feel the difference with their products. Organic cotton is the way to go.

**UPDATE** I wanted to quickly update my review after receiving the reply from Lola. Nowhere in my review did I state that there is a difference in risk of TSS based on what the tampon is made out of. I do not believe these tampons carry a higher risk based on the material they are made out of, rather the fact that the tampons fall apart and leave behind pieces of tampon inside your body. Any object, regardless of what it is made out of, left inside a woman's body has the potential to cause bacteria to grow which can then lead to an infection and/or TSS. Since this tampon falls apart more easily than other tampons, the risk for infection and TSS is increased. This is why I have switched to Tampax, because the material the tampon is made from is far less of a concern than having ANY tampon left behind inside the body. **Original Review** I'm confused as to how these tampons are 'better' or 'safer' for me than other tampons. I used Lola tampons for over a year because I wanted to use the safest possible tampon inside my body. As others have stated, the applicators are difficult and often don't work properly however that I could have overlooked. I became much more concerned when I noticed that pieces of the tampons were repeatedly falling apart and becoming stuck inside of me. I would have to do a thorough check every time I changed my tampon. This is extremely concerning as this is could lead to TSS (having an item in your body that builds bacteria leading to infection). I have never experienced this with any other tampon I've used. When it comes to 'safer' my number one concern would be not getting an infection and pieces of tampon being left behind consistently creates a higher risk of this. After doing quite a bit of reading and speaking with doctors/scientists it became clear that the 'organic' label or what is in the tampons is far less of a contributor to illness than the left over pieces of tampon in my body. I have since cancelled my membership and went back to regular Tampax. I hope this issue can be addressed quickly. Marketing an item as 'safer' (strictly based on a natural or organic label), when the item carries a higher risk for left behind material that could lead to an infection, is extremely misleading.

This company clearly thinks it is a good marketing ploy to have their commercials blaring at an unbelievably higher level than other commercials playing when you are streaming TV but all they have succeeded in doing is getting me to mute my TV and never be willing to consider purchasing their product. Go away.
