Company violates privacy laws and refuses to delete my data upon request (as required by law in my state). They also use AI for customer service and pretend it's a human.
Do not trust your child's or students' information with this sketchy company!

Switched to MyChildcareApp
Like others say, customer service is abysmal and tons of hidden charges. Switched to a non-corporate solution.
I switched to MyChildcareApp its half the cost and run by 2 actual daycare owners.

DO NOT use the billing
DO NOT use the billing! if the payment fails it shows on the parents invoice as paid until you finally turn off billing and let it catch up and then it will take all the money back from you also they do not protect against charge backs not im out almost $1000

Brightwheel is terrible and a scam
Brightwheel is terrible and a scam. They charge a hidden 3% credit card fee which is absurd and ends up being a lot of money on a large service charge. Completely insane $56 hidden extra credit card fee just to pay tuition!! It was not clear on the payment page that they do this and the customer service is horrible. They also refuse refunds on service fees. Worst company ever. What a SCAM company !!

Our school migrated to Brightwheel due…
Our school migrated to Brightwheel due to ongoing syncing issues with Procare that remained unresolved for years. While Procare had its challenges, we were always able to reach customer service directly and receive remote technical support during the call, which made troubleshooting much more efficient.
Unfortunately, our experience with Brightwheel has been disappointing. Support calls must be scheduled in advance, they are limited to 15 minutes, and real-time remote assistance is not available. Instead, users are directed to trainings and articles to find solutions on their own, which is not practical for a busy childcare center.
Navigating the software, especially the employee benefits section, is also confusing and difficult. As a director and owner, I expected a smoother, more supportive experience. I truly dislike the idea of returning to our previous system because of the disruption it would cause our school, but at this point we may have to go back to Procare simply to regain reliable support and usability.
Brightwheel offers strong features, but the lack of accessible customer service and the complexity of certain tools have made this transition far more challenging than anticipated.

Telemarketing nonsense.
Telemarketing nonsense.
They found my daycares number via public records since its a licensed daycare in Canada. They used that number to proactively call me and try to offer me services. So i go to their website since ive never heard of them. Its an american company. What kind of dystopian Idiocracy is our world turning into where this app is even needed, let alone being telemarketed to foreign businesses.

I wanted to deactivate my account and I was ghosted in chat. The moment I mentioned that had to cancel service I was left to figure out how I would be contacted- googling the internet for answers! Poor customer service & AI chat was more professional.

I would give it a zero is that was an option. Never have I ever had to jump through hoops and more hoops to cancel anything. No phone number to talk to anyone and they think as a daycare provider i have time to email back and forth. I had a zoom meeting feb 19 and told her to cancel it because it wasn't for me. Send email 26 to confirm cancel and she sends me a phone number that no one answered and mail box full sent me emails and nothing. Today march 2, I finally get to someone on email only to have to set up a time to do this.
