Our experience with Moon Valley was nothing but top notch. We were last on the team's schedule so they were a little late. They arrived with a great attitude after working all day digging holes and planting trees. They were all friendly and I enjoyed talking to all of them. The tree looks great and the clean up was perfect. I can't say enough good things about Samual Guzman and his crew. Our experience with the crew at the nursery was also an enjoyable experience. They were straight forward and able to answer all our questions.

I have been using Moon Valley Nurseries since 2022. I absolutely love them. I have never had a bad experience with any of their employees. I landscaped my entire backyard after we put in a pool; we have turf, and I was very impressed with how clean they kept the site during the planting process. The planting crew was very kind and professional, and I couldn't believe how fast they planted all the trees. We purchased very large trees for privacy, and it was amazing to me that they did it all with hand trucks and smiles. The sales crew were knowledgeable, and if they didn’t know the answer, they looked it up or asked an arborist. No pushy sales or BS just to get you to buy trees. They truly seem to want to sell you plants and trees that will actually work for your yard or space. The management and arborist are OUTSTANDING!! Rich Abate and Bret Monakino are truly some of the best people I have ever worked with. Their combination of knowledge and desire for complete customer satisfaction is unmatched! Overall, I highly recommend the Conroe Moon Valley location and will use them for all future planting projects.

I am happy other people had a good experience with Moon Nurseries, mine has been terrible. I went to the nursery to purchase some trees and was taken around by golf cart and made my purchase. Paid the crazy delivery and planting fee (no it is not free unless you buy HUGE trees). Was hoping I would get great nursery stock for the price, and just as great customer service. The trees arrived and were planted, and within minutes of the truck leaving I looked at my magnolia and it was COVERED in scale and white fly. I immediately called, was told that it should never have been planted and they would give me a spray to treat it. Eventually, they agreed to replace it along with my tangelo tree that had leaf miners. I had to wait a month with diseased trees until they were replaced. They did drop off a spray for me to use, it had no effect. The second magnolia tree they dropped off had the same issue, but they told me it had been sprayed and the new growth would be fine. Not so. Now that are telling me to get up into my tree and wipe off the scale and flies. Seriously? I have since spoken to several other nursery workers at other facilities, and apparently the nursery is known in the industry to have shady business practices. I wish I would have known this before I spent thousands of my hard earned money. I also called their corporate offices and left a message and sent a detailed email of my experience. Crickets. Very disappointing experience. Buyer beware.

We have spent over $35K with Moon Valley since Oct 2023. What was a good relationship has gone bad. Our poor experiences, many of them similar to what others have stated here, such as a lack of communications as well as promises made & not kept and service dates apparently are common to this organization. In Mar of 2026, the planting crew severely damaged one of three recently installed antique gas lamps near the end of our driveway. They have no coverage for damages. One has to pay for repairs out-of-pocket, submit paperwork and wait for reimbursement. We are still waiting as of this writing for reimbursement. We have other issues involving being charged for a warranty on a tree which died due to the planting crew puncturing a water line near the tree and an unresolved refund for incorrect plants brought to the site which we refused at delivery. The crew took them back, (March 2026) We have yet to receive the correct plants or a refund. We will no longer be using Moon Valley. Initially, all went well. The difficulty began when problems arose. There seemed to be a lack of coordination between depts. to get issues handled in a timely fashion.

My neighbor (next street over) was having a big project done on his front yard. (I could see big machinery.). Towards the end of the day, we saw a Moon Nursery truck & driver. He was waiting for the rest of the crew to arrive. While he was waiting I asked if he had time to see what the wind (sand storm) had done to a 5 foot tree we have. Mr. John Martinez did indeed:). He and a few others quickly steadied my tree and supported a couple of other tallish plants I have. I asked how much we owed him and he said nothing. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! We left town a couple of days later and I was so very pleased I did not have to be concerned about my plants dying. We have a large tree that needs to come down. We will definitely call Moon Nurseries/John Martinez when it gets cooler. Thank you so much for having such remarkable employees such as Mr. Martinez.

We visited Moon Valley Nurseries on Blue Mound Rd in Ft Worth today. They have 12 acres of a wide variety of plants and trees. Jake was a great help telling us about which plants would work for our location and soil conditions.
