Working with an expert sales representative changes the entire buying.
Scott from Mondani Furniture at Roosevelt Mall was one of them.
In September I bought " Forma Sectional Sofa Camel Velvet". I liked so much and I returned to purchase another piece.
So, I got Forma Ottoman Camel Velvet.
The furniture has great quality, easy assembly, fast delivery, arrived on time and is absolutely beautiful!
I recommended the whole company to everyone.

Stay Away
While our initial in-store experience at Modani Furniture in San Diego was pleasant, the post-purchase logistics and customer service were SO shady. We purchased the Oxford TV Stand on 8/30 with an estimated 2 to 3-week timeline as per Daniel Varona, but after a month without a single update--despite paying a $159 delivery fee--we had to repeatedly chase down basic information ourselves. It is ridiculous to charge a hefty delivery fee and then fail to provide any delivery service updates whatsoever; how can a furniture business expect to survive if they cannot actually get furniture to their customers? When we finally received an update, we were informed the item wouldn't even ship until 10/12 (six weeks post-purchase) and that they refused to waive the delivery fee, leaving us no choice but to cancel. This is looks to be common practice as evidenced by so many other reviews of customers facing the same issues. And of course....we still haven't received our refund.

Extremely poor contractors used for…
Extremely poor contractors used for delivery and furniture assembly. I purchased a product that was damaged by the installer and pieces were not installed and not included with the furniture which led to further damage to the furniture. No product warranty is provided and customer service for resolving issues is poor.

I should have paid more attention to…
I should have paid more attention to customer reviews. Placed an order June 1st and at a time never stated a backlog. Every month I get another note that shipment is delayed for another month. 4 times. I want out. I want my order cancelled and never again do I make a mistake of ordering from them. HELP

I am writing to formally complain about…
I am writing to formally complain about a very disappointing experience with my recent furniture purchase from Modani.
I spent more than $5,000 on furniture from your store, expecting both quality products and professional customer service. Unfortunately, one of the pieces arrived with a problem that was not caused by me.
When I contacted the store, I was told that the issue had to be reported within seven days. I understand that companies have policies; however, this situation was beyond my control. During that time, my mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, was hospitalized, and my attention was understandably focused on her serious medical situation.
What has been especially upsetting is the lack of understanding, compassion, and willingness to help. I am not asking Modani to take responsibility for damage that I caused. I am asking the company to stand behind a product for which I paid a significant amount of money and that had an issue through no fault of my own.
As a customer who spent more than $5,000 with your company, I expected a much higher level of service. Simply referring to a seven-day policy without seriously considering the circumstances or the actual problem with the furniture does not reflect the customer service I expected from Modani.
I am requesting that management review this situation and provide a reasonable resolution, such as repairing or replacing the defective furniture or offering another appropriate solution.
I hope Modani will reconsider how this matter has been handled and demonstrate that customer satisfaction is important to the company.
Please contact me as soon as possible regarding a resolution.
Sincerely,
Francisca

They have the worst customer service…
They have the worst customer service ever. I bought furniture from the website in May. As of today, August 12 still haven't received it nor received any updates.
It's hit or miss if I call customer service and connect with a person. They promise a call back and it never happens.
At this point I am thinking of calling my credit card company and filing a complaint.
It's a shame that I have to resort to negative reviews to get attention.

"Built To Last" lasted 3 years — and Modani says that's not a defect
In April 2023 I furnished most of my home through Modani (Tampa store), including a Livio 2 sofa marketed as "Beautifully Crafted, Built To Last" and sold to me as leather.
Less than a year after delivery, one of the two power-lift sides failed. Modani's technician confirmed the malfunction but the company refused to repair it without an extended protection plan. At the 36-month mark the upholstery began peeling; it now sheds flakes on anyone who sits down. The material peeling away is a surface coating — not leather as I was told when buying. Modani still lists it as "eco leather."
I filed a formal claim and Modani denied it in writing: upholstery deterioration at approximately three years "is not considered a manufacturing defect." By their own written standard, a three-year sofa lifespan is acceptable.
Judge the durability marketing against that. Mechanical failure inside year one, dead upholstery at year three, zero remedy offered. Check exactly what "eco leather" is and what the warranty actually covers before you spend money here.

Quality is terrible
Quality is terrible, and customer service is even worse. I purchased six dining chairs, and all six developed the exact same stitching defect in the same location, clearly indicating a manufacturing issue. When I reported it, I was told claims were only accepted during the warranty period. I ultimately had to discard all six chairs. I had a similar experience with a leather sofa that began peeling just two years after purchase. Very disappointing quality and poor customer support.
