No refund no response
Canceled my policy because they would never send me proof of insurance. They were supposed to give me a refund. After waiting a week finally called and was told it could take up to 30 days but they could issue a refund that day. Been 5 days.....still waiting.

Did you shutdown and forget to tell people??
How is it that you can answer people on this review site but you can’t answer your actual phones? I have been calling the main line all week during business hours and have only received a recording that you are not open. I have emailed 3 times over the last month and received no response. And now the first of the month has come and gone and I have received no odometer text messages to determine this month’s payment. IS THIS COMPANY OUT OF BUSINESS AND THEY FORGOT TO INFORM THEIR CLIENTS?

Frankly, your TrustPilot posting helped us discover an issue with our phone system which prevented a telephone with a West Coast area code from reaching our East Coast call center during our morning operating hours. Non-existent customer service. Cancels insurance without warning or even letting you know.
My payment didn't go through for some reason and without any attempt to contact me or have a grace period or an email or anything they immediately canceled my insurance without telling me. There is no reliable way to get a hold of the company if there is any issues whatsoever.

Mr. Smith - Mile Auto has dozens of customer care staff members on duty M-F from 9am – 6pm in each US time zone. We do not cancel customers without notice, and in fact you were contacted via both email and snail mail. All customers who miss a payment are given a grace period by law after notice of cancellation for non-payment. We regret that you believe you had a bad experience with our pay-per-mile insurance. Tens of thousands of low-mileage customers appreciate our pay-per-mile insurance, customer care services and claims handling. EVERY month they add some b.s
EVERY month they add some b.s. new charge. My base rate from February '25 to March '25 went from $29.00 to $50.00. Why? Scammers!! and I am dropping them this morning. I had no accidents or claims and yet I was also was given a new charge of $6.50! I ask what is this? the response: 'camera charge for your photo' LMAO.

Dear Tom, We appreciate your concerns, but as with all other sectors of the economy, the auto insurance industry has been forced to respond to inflation over the past several years. Auto parts and repair prices have gone up along with labor rates and the prices of replacement vehicles. As a result, insurers have had no choice but to increase prices. We understand that rate increases are unwelcome, but they are necessary in order for insurers to stand by their commitments to their customers. We are sorry to see you go, and wish you well as you seek new insurance coverage.

It’s a total joke
It’s a total joke! Received a quote. Tried buying it and gave them my drivers license and vin. Drivers license & Car are totally clean and they doubled my base price. Their explanation was well now it’s accurate! Run fast!!!!!

Once we obtain a driver's license and VIN, pursuant to regulatory filings we are required to run reports such as motor vehicle violations, credit and prior insurance coverage to develop a final rate. Those additional items control the final rates that are displayed. Refuse to even consider claim
It's now been 8 months since I submitted my claim and still they haven't even considered it. They keep asking for materials they've been sent 10 times already. Delay delay delay. They are breaking the law and clearly just hoping I give up. Avoid at all costs.

Currently Closed at 11:35am business hours
I would give them a 0 if it was available. Can’t get them on the phone to correct an issue on my policy!! They haven’t reported to the DMV that I even have insurance. I have sent them several emails.But, only receive the same information over and over again…. To send an email to customer care… That doesn’t care.. Stay away from unless you are looking for high fines! Want to get pulled over because they hadn’t put it in the system that you are insured… I will be turning this issue over to someone that can investigate my situation to see if maybe I can get a response…

In addition to our regulator reporting system, we recommend that our customers always carry a copy of their proof of insurance in their vehicle. And, not being able to reach anyone in our US-based Customer Care team is likewise a mystery. You may always call us and text us at 1-888-654-3001. One star is too high for this scam of a…
One star is too high for this scam of a company. I was in an accident with one of their insureds. I filed a claim with Mr Kevin Weir (not sure about the spelling) Anyway, he told me an adjuster would be contacting me. That did not happen. He then called me back to have me upload photos of my car, a link that did not work. That was approximately 2weeks ago. I cannot get this guy to answer my calls. The phone message states that the office is closed for the holiday but the holiday has passed. I'm sure at this point there is no adjuster, there is no claim department. This is criminal and unfortunate for hard working people who simply want what they are entitled to.
