I went to midas for new new struts and…
I went to midas for new new struts and shocks on my truck. And new tires . So since I had it there for that . I asked the tech if they could install a levling kit also. That I had bought . And he said no problem we can do it . So I had to call the next day to see if the truck was to see if the truck was ready . He said yes looks great with the new tires .after I gave him my credit card number over the phone . He told me we couldnt get the leveling kit to work. He nit once called me and said hey we didn't get the kit installed. If I would have know that I would have brought it to a shop that would be able to do it all . Don't tell some one that. Also corp. Office has never got back to me . I have complicated and they don't care . I hopened they are glad they got there 1900.00 dollars from me . And lied about there services . I'm never going back there again .

Brakes estimate from Midas
My car brakes stop working one morning, brake pedal feels spongy, no grip. I used my hand brake for slowing down and stopping and get to the nearest garage, which was a Midas (in Pickering, Ontario).
My Midas manager checked the car and provided a $4500 complete brake job estimate, with Master cylinder replacement, all Pads, calipers, and discs replacements, etc...I took the car back as it was too expensive of a repair for an older car.
My next-door neighbor then informs of his mechanic. I took the car for another estimate, and it came back with just a leaking brake cable, a $40 repair.
So beware of some garages ut there. trying to take advantage of us hard-working consumers. I now have a new mechanic, and my car works like new again.

I've been using Midas shop near me for…
I've been using Midas shop near me for the last 12 yrs, but recently my son accidentally put diesel in the gas tank while we were on vacation. I had the car towed to Midas and they quoted me 999 to drain the tank and flush the system. When I got back from vacation a week later they told me they still couldn't get the car to run and would need to do additional repairs. A couple of weeks later they finally gave me a quote of 3,500 to get the car running again. My wife checked with another shop and they said that this is a pretty common problem. You just have to flush the tank and the car will run fine. They charge 500 to do the repair. I had it towed to the other shop and now the car is running fine. I called the Midas shop back and talked to the GM Ray who bad mouthed the other shop and would not take any responsibility for the fact that they had charged me twice the cost, did not fix the car and quoted me expensive repairs that my car did not need. I have five cars and I have generally trusted them to Midas for the last 12 years, and the other Midas shop where we used to live for 13 years before that, but I've been noticing that there has been a big turnover in shop managers in the last few years. I've stuck with them because they are my neighborhood shop but this experience has really shaken my faith in Midas as a company that I can trust.

LAFAYETTE IN
I've been upset with this place for months but are still giving them chances. 3 chances and all have been horrible experiences! Every single one! I've spent over $1000 dollars in 3 trips and according to them there is something new "wrong" every time I go in. Although they've done inspections and oil changes and never said one thing about the torn wipe which they checked as ok. well that is not true. Its have missing and flips and flops when its turned on. Although that is the least of my worries. I took my car in because the engine light was on and it kept dying saying reduced power. That was in Feb. They said there is nothing they can find with the engine. They did say that the DRIVERS Hub assembly needs replaced, which I agreed because it was making a noise. Took it back a few weeks later. Dropped it off and walked to a restaurant. I was told a few hours . As we are eating I got a call from Brandon and he explained that my tie rods were really bad and that was more important to fix (as I couldn't afford both). I told him okay fix that and I would come back to do the Drivers side hub assembly. A few weeks later I took it back to have the DRIVERS side hub assembly and all of a sudden I needed rack and pinion and what goes along with that . Because it was more important and needed it worse. After 3 visits they never once mentioned to me that these are worn or bad or need replaced. Very reluctantly said ok. now ive spent $1000 after 4 visits and the DRIVERS side hub still isn't fixed.
Fast forward a month and a half. I take it back to have the DRIVERS side hub assembly replaced. I arrived at 6:45am as the store opens at 7. ive made an appointment for my second visit and was told by Mark the manager after waiting 2 extra hours that appointmnets don't even matter because it dosent really make a difference with appointments or not.
So we arrive at 6:45 am so to be first in line. when we arrived we went in and Mark the manager was there. I asked him if Jonah the lady that handles finacing would be there as I had paper work to sign. He said she would be and said to replace the DRIVERS side hub would be 1 hour to 1 in a half hours. So from 7 an hour and a half would be 8:30 for the 1 and half hour range. We again went and ate and returned at 8 to see my car want even taken back yet. I said my car is already ready? Mark said no its not been taken back yet however there are 3 cars in the tlls being worked on. I was understandably upset. he said well this guy is sick and this guy called in and when AJ gets there he will have huim do it. He then informed me that Jonah would not be able to get there until 10. ok remember I'm suppose to be out of there around 8:30. As I'm venting my frustration woth him about all ive been through with this place. He inform
s me that Jonah dosent need to be here we could handle it with her over the phone. I asked him why he didn't tell me that from the beginning and that was just more upsetting to me when he said she wont be here.
I agreed to wait aftre he said the latest for my would be 10am. That is twice as long as I was told when arriving. so they pulled my car in and started working on it. i could only see a small part of my car as it was being worked on. But i could see the DRIVERS side front tire which was what they were suppose to be working on the DRIVERS side hub assembly. Mark the manager went out and came back in and i asked you guys sre repacing the DRIVERS side hub like we agree on this morning correct? He said oh NO we are doing the passangers side it is worse! Well to say the least i wads upset . so after 3 visits to fix the DRIVERS side hub it still aint done. but they've managed to fix al the other crap they never said anything about. As a single Disabled mom with 2 disabled daughters I feel taken advantage off DO NOT GO HERE.

So sad you pay good money but cant get good service
First of all let me say that I used Midas both one Northside Drive and one on Old National Highway as my primary repair shops for both of my vehicles and I have been doing that for a while so I was very surprised at the treatment I got from the one that was on Old National Highway I brought my car in to be repaired it needed a heater core and a couple of the repairs okay so but when I got my car back my heater will not blow out right if I have it on 90 it blows out hot if I put it on 85 and blows out cold all of my Vents are not working properly. And I thought that would not be a problem but to my surprise when I brought that to their attention they said that over the cars old that's why that's why it happened and they refuse to fix it so I told them I said but but it worked before you even touched it even though I needed a heater core all of the vents are blowing out properly and they were blown out forcefully. My car is still messed up my heater core my air is not working right and I wish I could get someone to listen to me and repair that

Midasize It
I wanted an oil change but the local oil shop was lined up to the street. I noticed Midas is now a total care system including oil changes. So, I decided to get it done here. They did this only after an un-solicited, free courtesy inspection and found all kinds of doom and gloom items. They were wondering how I able to drive my Toyota to their shop. Obviously an upselling technique. I went along with this and requested a written estimate for everything they claimed was wrong. Then, said no. One thing I agreed with however, was the front brakes. I actually didn’t realize how bad they were because they were still performing well. However, they proved that one of the calipers were frozen as far as their self-adjusting ability. Even though the pistons still work the adjusting ability will cause uneven pad wear. This is because they can’t slide along their mounting pins or grooves depending on the configuration. So, I allowed for a complete front brake job and even sprung for new rotors. Therefore, I can’t complain about this particular part of the upsell. My complaint is about the quality of the parts used. They replaced the old Toyota brand calipers that were not at all rusted. Their brand rusted within a week. I noticed it thru the wheel slots. Took off the wheels for closer inspection. The calipers and rotors looked like they were from a salvage yard. The other big complaint is based on an estimate I actually wanted but they never gave. If you ever heard the term, “Midasize It,” it refers to their primary service which is exhaust systems. However, this Midas doesn’t do exhaust. That is, they have no welding or bending ability as all exhaust shops do. They can only install bolt on exhaust parts. There it is. A Midas that wants to do everything else but the exhaust work they were founded on.
