Bought a pair of Moab boots which developed a fault after maybe 50 outings in normal conditions one of the loops which the laces go through broke -these are meant to be top of range boots not cheepo crap if youre in the UK beware they have no direct complaints or advice line I contacted them on Facebook with pictures - nothing after 2 month horrible company who have zero interest in customers !

Had a pair of Merrell shoes and the soles literally disintegrated ! Called the company, they said they would graciously offer a 30% off coupon...that sounded great until I saw that during any sales event, they routinely offered 30% off!!! Will never buy again...

Bought a pair of shoes from merrell, never arrived. No one cares and wont answer phonecalls or emails. This has been going on since black friday, today is the 4th February

Have had a real problem replacing my old boots. Have spent £150 on 2 pairs that have proved uncomfortable and impossible to wear . Sent an email with photos of both new and used boots to customer services asking for help and advice. That was 2 weeks ago. No acknowledgement or reply. This week my wife tried to get a response using face book, still nothing. Clearly once they have your money they simply don't care. Awful service.

I have been buying only Merrell shoes for 10 years. The Merrell shoes don't aggravate my plantar fasciitis. The last five pair I have bought the rubber on the toe continuously starts to come off and I have to super glue it on. From the store manager she says they know the problem. I have bought my past pair if Merrill's. Switched to Rockport so far so good.

Having been a huge fan of Merrell Moab for many years I have come to the conclusion that costs must have been cut over the past few years, my last 3 pairs have all split on the side where the glued sole extends onto the side. The last pair i still have is wearing very quickly on the heel, must more so than the pairs I had years back. I guess the bean counters are now controlling quality, a great shame as now need to go elsewhere for footwear.

I have not worn my boots very much, certainly not used them for climbing or hiking, just ordinary walking. Four of the fabric loops for the laces have broken and I won't be able to use these boots anymore. What a complete waste of money, would not touch this company with a barge pole.
