Poorly constructed shoe
Basically they are very comfy with a decent Vibram sole but they literally fall apart after 12 months. Splits and holes appear where the shoe flexes. Definitely not worth the money.

It's so simple when you read there online BS. Easy free returns? NO. First you have to log the return which is doesn't work. If it did, you then have to print 3 copies of the invoice and a label. The free returns are not really free. Only if the item is damaged or faulty. Every online company have to cover postage in that situation so it is very misleading. We will have to pay return postage because the item is much smallest than the size printed on it. OK, we will pay. We have tried several times to return the shoes. You are instructed to put in the order number and your postcode to proceed. Big Red message states they do not recognise the order number or postcode? Try again, then again, & again. Triple check we had the correct numbers and try yet again. Postcode with a gap, postcode without a gap. Same message over and over. Eventually work out how to contact them, wait for ages on live chat, number 1 in queue only to eventually find the line closed at 4.30pm. ARGH!!

I recently bought the women’s Bravada 2 hiking shoes after a lot of research, since I needed a waterproof hiking shoe for summer. The package took a week to come which was not a bother, but merrell uses UPS as their shipping providers, and UPS took my parcel to a collection point without ringing my doorbell. I had to walk half an hour to get it and was not impressed, but this isn’t Merrell’s fault directly. The actual shoe is the problem. It’s a weird make with a wide ankle bit that caused my foot to slip out (despite the description saying that the Bravada 2 has a narrow heel) and the insole slips very easily since it isn’t attached to the bottom of the shoe with anything. The toe part is also a strange fit that I don’t think would fit anyone’s foot because of how little space there is between the top of the shoe and your toes. The shoe feels cheap and smells like plastic, and the stitching feels as though it would fall apart easily. I thought Merrell was meant to make good quality hiking shoes but I don’t believe that’s true. I don’t recommend these shoes at all and have began a return for them, although I am a bit anxious as to whether the return will be accepted or not after reading reviews from others. The return process describes having to attach precisely three invoices to the outside of the shipping box, which is very strange. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Merrell because their shoes feel cheap and poorly made, with a strange fit that doesn’t feel as though it’s for human feet. Their extortionate prices don’t match their poor quality.

Men’s Moab 3 hiking boots. Most uncomfortable shoe I’ve ever bought. Footbed is hard and unforgiving. The toe box is constricted. Shoes are in my usual size (11) but hurt my feet after walking even a mile. Because I’ve worn them, I can’t return them. I’m a long-time Merrell wearer. Have worn Jungle Mocs for 15 years. Have a pair of trail running shoes that are very comfortable. These Moab 3’s are horrible.

Merrell boots fit me great. I love there boots. However a $160 pair of tactical waterproof boots only last 350 miles. Which is about 2-3 months for me. (6 miles a day on dirt and grass) So I have to buy 4 pairs a year just to walk around my ranch all year.
