Menards performed a bait and switch. I was quoted a $4200 move. They outsourced the move to Goodview Moving. When Goodview showed up they told me it would b $6k. I did not realize it was an additional $6k so I spent almost $10k to move 3 rooms of furniture. 2 and a half months later and they still have not delivered my furniture and Menards will do nothing about it. I called them over a dozen times. Menards deceived me and outsourced to a company that sacammed me and took my deceased mother’s belongings. Do not use Menards, you will regret it.

Please run away from this company!!! All they care about is your deposit and after that you're no longer on their radar. I couldn't even talk to the person I made the reservation with who made all the promises until we paid. They said I now have to talk with customer service and deal directly with the "movers" they sent.

Do not request ANY moving services with Menards, especially interstate moving. Like some other reviews have stated, they will call you and quote you a reasonable price. They seem easy-going and helpful to start. “Call us anytime…”, “No big deal…” blah blah blah. Come to the day to move my heavier furniture pieces. The truck comes, I show them the items that need to get moved. They said they won’t move the items listed on the inventory. They said it was too big, it won’t stack, etc. Mind you. I have moved all of these things in a standard sized U-Haul without any issues. I say okay, can you move just the biggest things like the couch, mattress, headboard (again items already listed out to them in the inventory sheet). The movers say no, only if you pay $3200. My jaw is to the floor. How on earth does my originally quoted $1700-1800 move jump up to $3200. I call the agent who booked everything, and he is MIA. I call Menards, outraged, confused, and panicking. They come up with excuses. I talk to the manager of the moving company. No real solution. Either I accept their discount and pay $2400 to move my things or I forfeit my $600 deposit I already paid. That’s when I realized… BAIT AND SWITCH. This company is predatory, making me drain all of my money just to move my things when if they were more upfront and honest about the cost of everything I never would have agreed or moved forward with everything. Moving is already difficult and stressful and I would have preferred to rent a U-Haul and drive everything myself than to deal with the emotional and mental turmoil of going back and forth with Menards or the company they contract to do the move. And they will wipe their hands, take your money, and be done with it and if you are unsatisfied in any way with how things are being handled they will not help you AT ALL. I called and gave them many chances and they showed time and time again how manipulative, greedy, and unethical they are. If I could rate 0 stars, I would.

Beware Menards moving and storage. Long story short, they lost our items, overcharged us, held items ramson until we paid. Then never delivered all items. Terrible. Please do not hire.

Quote to actual payment was almost doubled. Pick up date, they arrived 2 days late and did not leave until 8:30 pm as the truck they brought was full. Delivery, missing items, shattered items arrived and unable to get it resolved, no follow up to calls, emails etc. initially spoke with owner due to scam issue when we first hired this company once I resolved that, he never responded to any of my texts or calls. Would not recommend, they do not deliver what they advertise. They are broker and once job farmed out the take no responsibility. Hire a reputable mover. We learned our lesson the hard way

They lied about being a broker and when I attempted to cancel in about 24 hours, they refused to refund my money. I have documented proof that they lied and tried to get me to agree to take 1/5 of my money back even though they never did any work.

This Broker will hire the worst Carriers for you move. I had them move me from NE to TX. Price went from $7K to $11.6K. The Carrier never showed up with the packaging and boxes I paid for and was under the impression they were moving less stuff even after a thorough inventory was done prior to the movers arrival. Movers took a month to deliver. Broke all TVs except one. Lost a whole washer and dryer. All of my pricey items (tools, Jordan shoes, antique tables) disappeared and the Carrier refuses to respond or answer. When I called Menards to assist they kept passing it off. I work in Transportation and pulled the MC# and saw that the Carrier they hired had multiple infractions and DOT gave them a really bad score. The company is run from a home address which also is shady in the transportation world but Menards hired them anyways knowing all of this information. This company is bad business.

Quote was to move 10 boxes from Montana to Indiana; after a devastating auto accident leaving family stranded in Montana. Quote 'disappeared' after payment was made for deposit. Move scheduled, movers did not show up on original date, re-scheduled, movers did not show up on 2nd date, re-scheduled, movers did not show up on 3rd date. 3 day delay costing additional days waiting for movers as scheduled. Guess what? No one EVER showed up for the scheduled move, or called. Requested copies of documentation of quote, and requested refund of deposit. NEVER RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE. This is fraud; "no products or services received". Obviously scammers. UPDATE: Notified financial institution of fraudulent charge due to "no goods or services received". Received email from Menard's threatening lawsuit of $11K due to chargeback. So, now their trying to intimidate a senior citizen too.
