Going into the MD application cycle with less than desirable stats, I knew that I was going to need strong essays that could weave together my narrative into a strong application. My advisor, Ziggy, was very helpful in this regard. I don't think my personal statement, secondary essays and interviewing skills would be as strong as they were had I not received his advice and comments. Nor do I think I would have had the success I've had with my application cycle without his help. After receiving multiple MD school interview invitations, I am grateful to say that I was accepted and will be starting medical school this upcoming Fall 2020. Excited to start this new chapter of my life - thank you for everything Ziggy and MedSchoolCoach!

Overall, it wasn't really worth the price I paid. Only the essay and interview services were decent (even then overpriced). Don't waste money on the full package. My mentor was never available for me to chat, and would keep deferring meetings to discuss things. They're real physicians I get that but if I'm paying that much they could at least make some time to talk about the application! They didn't give me advice or heads up about certain deadlines to meet, which delayed things. The interview and essay service can be bought separately.

I had a very positive experience with MSC. My advisor was present and thoughtful throughout the entire process. They helped shape my primary application, and were very responsive when secondary season was in full swing. I found the interview prep with my own, and another advisor to be very beneficial. When I reached out to my advisor for help on LOI, they were also very supportive and willing to help. I found that the advising package helps to shape and polish your application to make it more cohesive. If you do not have robust medical advising at your college, I would recommend this service.

My advisor was helpful with every step of the application process. He was honest and helped me narrow down a reasonable list of schools to apply to. He provided support when I received rejections and was always willing to talk to me about any concerns or questions I may have, no matter how busy he also was.

I had a great experience with MedSchoolCoach. I used the mock interview service and it really prepared me for my actual interview. Dr. Katzen is an amazing interviewer and he really goes over everything you need to know. I would recommend this service to any pre-med who is unsure about their interviewing ability or the strength of their responses. MedSchoolCoach really does give you the feedback you need to crush your interview.

I can't believe how amazing my experience was. Super skeptical when I signed up for their step 1 tutoring and it was more expensive than some of the others but it was so so so worth it. I felt like they were the first company that didn't flat out lie about how many points everyone increases. Ashley sat me down and walked me through where I stood and how to get where I wanted to be. It took all the guesswork out of it and for an IMG that was huge. I saw so many of my classmates struggle with the kaplan course and doctors in training because it just wasn't tailored to them. 40 hours of tutoring was such a better use of my time and my score proved it. Dr. Mehta personally reached out at the end. Awesome awesome experience

MedSchoolCoach has been fundamental in pushing me to achieve a solid score on Step 2 CK. I admit that initially I was skeptical because of the price, but it was well worth it in the end. My tutor was encouraging and always made me feel like I was capable of achieving a good score, even when I started doubting myself. He stuck with me through it and continued to encourage me. He checked in on me frequently (even though he has a crazy busy schedule as a resident!) throughout the studying process and I deeply appreciate how committed he was to helping me do well on CK. These tutors are really dedicated to you! Honestly I highly recommend this service to any who is contemplating using it.

Overall the staff is very helpful. It’s easy to book interview prep and get advice. Some of the advisors, though, are too busy to offer solid help during the writing process. I also wish the advisors kept in touch after secondaries—and helped with LOI and update letters.
