I've applied to medical school twice before using MedSchoolCoach and could never seem to get past the secondary application phase. The process is difficult, especially when you get stuck at one place as I did, because you don't necessarily know what's holding you back from getting interviews and acceptances. MedSchoolCoach truly was a lifesaver in the application process - my coach quickly identified the areas of my application that I should spotlight on my secondary applications and worked with me to make my narrative more cohesive. I felt that I was better to sell myself as a finished "product" to the medical schools I applied to, and this reflected in the interviews I received as well as my ability to perform confidently at interviews. I received 6 interview offers and now am getting ready to start medical school this coming August. I cannot emphasize enough how helpful MedSchoolCoach was for me. To note, I had the silver package which included secondary prep and 3 interview sessions.

MedSchoolCoach helped me prepare for the COMLEX Level 2 CE exam. My tutor, Bright, was excellent and helped me work on my weak areas and came up with a structured plan to make sure I was well prepared for the exam. I am very happy to share that not only did I meet my score goal, but I was also able to match into my program of choice in Internal Medicine!

I had a wonderful experience with David, who helped me with my residency application. He was available every step of the way, and fielded all of my questions in an extremely timely manner (often within the hour). His edits to my personal statement and CV portions were thoughtful and informed. He also remained available throughout the interview and ranking process. He helped me with interview prep in addition to weighing in on my rank order list and how to best organize my thoughts on each program. In the end, I matched at my top choice, in no small part to David's contributions throughout the entire process. I cannot sing his praises enough!

I used MedSchoolCoach to help with my med school secondaries. I looked up the person assigned to help me and they did come from a very prominent medical school and had very good credentials. I submitted my primary application and materials as requested. I was disappointed when I had my brainstorming session that my advisor obviously hadn't read my primary application or materials. They spent a lot of time giving me general advice on writing my secondaries which I could find myself researching online. I know I am responsible for writing all my own material on my secondaries but I had hoped they would have looked at my personal information. Maybe given me suggestions on things i have experienced that would be good to bring out, helping me with my biggest problem of figuring out what to write about. When I did submit my secondaries the person was effecient at editing them and got them back to me in a timely manner.

I worked with Dr. Lajevardi and she’s amazing! We completely revamped my AMCAS and most of my secondaries. She edited my personal statement > 5 times and I revised my essay 10 times before we were satisfied. She’s both critical and patient. Without her guidance I wouldn’t have the insight to know what medical school wants to see. I also did many mock interviews with other advisors, all of whom are very knowledgeable and experienced. They gave me such valuable feedback that I know I cannot get from reading a guide book alone. All in all, I’m very glad I made the decision because this is very worth it.
