Signed up with Medical Guardian several months ago; with fall detection option. To date, no personal emergencies. However, on several occasions, I noted that the company's 'vigilance' is excellent. This occurred when pendant was inadvertently, excessively 'jarred' while wearing it. This was interpreted as a "fall detected" by Medical Guardian operators. Response was within seconds. Very reassuring.

I got the GPS service for my Mom after the passing of my Dad so that she could stay active and feel safe. I have been very pleased with the response team as my Mom is in her 80s and on more than one occasion she has accidently set the device off. The response people have been very understanding and have never been harsh or rude to her. We live in the Northeast, Mom has had multiple joint replacements, and is in her 80's and this service allows her to stay active with friends and social events well feeling safe that with a push of a button help will be there. The one negative is the GPS is cellular based and there are a few places it does not work well (like in a grocery store). That being said I do not feel that this a company issue but is more waiting for better technology to become available.

I have forgotten to place my GPS on the charger on 2 occasions. Medical Guardian has then notified my daughter who immediately calls me. I like knowing that they are constantly monitoring my errors. That makes me certain that it will work to call you when I actually need you.

What I like most about my alert devise and the Medical Guardian crew is that it and they know where I happen to be. And, even if I make an mistake and trigger a call, the Mediical Gaurdian crew check to make sure who I am and if I am OK. All this gives me confidence if I do fall and hurt myself I will get the help I need.

Nobody wants to feel "old" and getting that "I've fallen and I can't get up" device was not something I was eager to do. But, I have fallen a couple of times this year and I do live alone. The people I spoke to at Medical Guardian were so positive and friendly and I felt like I was making the right decision. When I called to register the device, the young man who walked me through everything was so patient and upbeat. I do feel very confident now that if I needed help, I would get it right away.

We purchased the Medical Alert for my parents because they refuse to leave their home and enter an assisted living facility (85+ years old). There have been falls and accidents (hitting the alarm button or losing power). Medical Alert is fast and efficient in taking the proper and promised actions to ensure all is ok on the home front. I highly recommend this company! They won't let you down and it's very affordable also.
