I regret purchasing the MG Mini for my mother. Unfortunately, this device is highly unreliable. and the company is deceptive. The battery doesn’t last more than a day, ( though it falsely advertises up to 5 days) and the signal quality is poor. Even worse, the company is refusing to honor the extra warranty we purchased. We had the device replaced a few weeks ago due to the same issues, only to receive a faulty replacement that was even worse. They are refusing to replace it again, and despite the ongoing problems, customer service has shown no willingness to resolve the situation. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Do NOT trust it with your loved one. I will be filing a complaint with the AG office in my state, as well as the better business bureau.

I'd Googled Medical Guardian Canada, called and signed up only to find out once the equipment arrived that they were based in the USA - my mistake. The reception was never clear enough to hear what was being said over the speaker so they sent new equipment but with no return labels for the old equipment. The customer service technician was rude and only helpful after he heard that there was someone else in the room with me. He then finally helped me with the set up. When my mother passed away I notified them and asked how to return the old and new equipment - they claimed that they'd already sent a return label with the new equipment but I had kept the box it came in and there were no labels. Instead of sending any labels, they charged my mother's credit card $350 and sent the invoice as "lost equipment". Bad experience from start to finish, just happy to be done with them.

My parents fall detection necklaces were checked two times a month to ensure they worked. Every time at least 1 of them did not work. Myself or the caregiver had to contact Medical Guardian. I went with this company due to their 4.7 star rating at the time and reading the reviews. I also compared them to other companies as well. We've had nothing but constant issues with the fall detection since we received them in July 2025. I canceled today January 7, 2026. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I purchased this product and paid for a year up front. My fob quite working, I fell, no help and I call today and after waiting 45 minutes on hold some woman I can barely understand with a screaming kid in the back ground tells me I dont have warranty and I need to pay! WAFJ

DO NOT COUNT ON THIS PRODUCT!!! I purchased this necklace in Dec of 2024, for my 90 yr old mother. My mother fell Nov of 2025 - the ONLY time we needed this device to call for help. She was unable to push a button, as she in severe pain with a fractured shoulder, a head injury and multiple contusions. THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT CALL EMS AUTOMATICALY! DOES NOT WORK IN A TRUE EMERGENCY!!!!

company is trash. 1st device fall detection didnt work. 2nd device same thing. they refused to refund $ and said they could only prorate refund even though nothing worked since day 1. had to spend hours on phone with multiple escalation reps to get a refund. told me they would call me back 4x - never once called me back. then ijust got a generic email saying account was closed. no word about refund or sending device back.. absurd customer service

Medical Guardian markets itself as a reliable emergency response service for seniors. Based on our experience, that promise is not upheld. My father, who is in his 90s, fell and hit his head, leaving him unconscious. His independent living facility immediately called an ambulance. Medical Guardian did not call until roughly 90 minutes later—by which time he was already in the ER and later admitted to the ICU with a brain hemorrhage. They told us they were preparing to dispatch EMTs to his home, long after emergency care was already underway. When I escalated the issue, the supervisor focused entirely on questions designed to shift blame: Was the device visible? Did he press the button? Does he test it monthly? There was no acknowledgment that a fall-detection device is useless if someone is unconscious. Additionally, we had previously ordered a replacement device because the original one failed during another fall. The replacement device arrived faulty and would not hold a charge. We were told to return it but were never informed of a 14-day return-receipt deadline hidden in online legal documents. Because of this undisclosed policy, they refused a refund. My father lost $215. This company relies on fine print, legal loopholes, and customer service scripts instead of accountability. Seniors and their families deserve transparency and real protection—not excuses.

Got this service for my parents. My father had stage 4 cancer and being they are both visually impaired wanted to make sure they were safe. Ordered 9/16 and received about 2 weeks or so later. Of course charged at the beginning. Father passed away and can’t just cancel, have to wait till they get back to me. Read the return said could take up to 10 days of cancellation after received and then a restocking fee. Avant- Jones promises the world, but no explanation or customer service. Wouldn’t ever use this pointless company again.
