Medical GuardianReviews of medicalguardian.com

Awful awful took my family and I for $500!!! We never used unit got it for elderly father! Robert company rep was so well versed in how to turn it around and blame you for not returning it on time!!! Well done bravo ripping off the elderly and their family one unsuspecting person at a time !! I see BBB has a ton of complaints check it out ! Buyer beware

My Mom, 93 had the service, said the people were very rude anytime she had to deal with them. We cancelled and sent back the product. They acknowledged receiving it and said give 30 days for refund. This was August 30th it's now Oct, 26th and still waiting. Get ambiguous answers about how a check "is in the mail". The whole process is infuriating !

Customer service is terrible and rude unless you want to buy something. There are several other companies that have great products and better services. Hanging up on customers is not what I pay for, especially after a loved one passed away, and looking to get credit for a service the was canceled 7 months ago.

The product is fine but the customer service is terrible. It took 3 weeks for the company to acknowledge a return. The return was received, a credit was issued and then I was billed again in 3 weeks. I would not do business with Medical Guardian again.

This is my second review to chronicle the absolutely horrible customer service of this company. I am trying to cancel two contracts and have returned all equipment with verification of delivery from the USPS. But I can't talk to anyone to determine the status of my refund. After 20 minutes on hold with a repeating message every 5 seconds about a $25 referral Amazon gift card for the referral of friends--really???--I just gave up. The medical assistance service that is provided may be excellent--fortunately I never had to rely on it. But I can tell you that dealing with their customer service may very take many years off your life.

I purchased and am paying for this service for my 90+ year old elderly mother - turns out this company really sucks. She recently activated the alert for medical assistance when she fell in her home and was seriously injured. The Medical Guardian operator asked if she should contact me and my mom said "no". The next day I called called customer service and asked why I wasn't contacted - they said they won't contact the emergency contact unless directed to do so by the patient. SO I'M PAYING FOR A SERVICE TO PROTECT MY MOM AND NOTIFY ME WHEN SHE ASKS FOR EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE AND MEDICAL GUARDIAN WON'T CONTACT ME WHEN THE ALERT IS ACTIVATED- REALLY???? Fortunately her neighbor called me and told me she fell and was injured. Medical Guardian should pay her neighbor this month's service fee - the neighbor did the ethical and moral thing. I also tested their operator response time after my mom fell - took almost a minute for someone to answer the alert call. I'm currently looking for a medical alert company that has my mom's and my best interest in mind - and it's obviously not Medical Guardian.

Purchased 7-2020 but my mother went into Memory Care 9-2020. I did not cancel the service and was re-billed 7-2021. I accept the charges for 2020, not canceling was on me. I disputed the renewal and was advised they had to send a form to complete to cancel, I was to receive in 24 hours. The form did not arrive and I email a cancelation request and disputed with by credit card. A New charge came through 9-14-21. Again I was told I had to sign their form, waiting once again for the 24 hour delivery. The service was Never used, why is there so much delay in canceling? I am very upset with their service.

Absolutely horrendous customer service and blatant refusal to send cancellation documents timely therefore impacting the amount of money supposed to be returned to us. They are in effect holding on to over $500 due back to us. These wait and see tactics should be illegal. This feels very much like theft and predatory behavior against a vulnerable senior population.
