Battery life indicator
I am not happy about the fact that the device does not have an indicator of the remaining battery life.

Don’t know quite how to review the product. I’ve had no physical problems so I wear the product whenever I’m out and about and nothing happens of course except that I’ve paid for a year service. Nothing to review at this point.

The unit do not hold a charge; the unit must be charged every 20-24 hours.

I honestly don’t think my pennant gets it right. For instance, I laid it gently on my bed yesterday and it reported that I had fallen. I don’t understand why it lights up frequently. Especially at night. I have no idea what that means and don’t enjoy being woken up so frequently.

The sales person should have explained in detail the LOCK BOX. It can only be used on a ROUND door knob. IT IS NOT MOUNTED ON THE WALL AND CAN NOT BE MOUNTED ON A WALL. The senior living I am in does not have round door knobs therefore the box would hang on the straight door handle and anyone can take it. The agent I spoke to said there is nothing that can be done. So I paid for a box that is not good and I now have no key outside to get into my apartment. Bad outcome!! Also I was told the device speaker is loud since I am hard of hearing and I can not hear it.

8/22/25 Update: refund came through after many back and forths. Revised review from a 1 star to a 3 star because Paulina in customer service was superb. Original review: Medical Guardian is a misleading, deceptive, and dishonest company. Mom’s MG Mini device within 5 days of receipt is defective and gos off when not moved or touched. Calls to their customer service lines have long waits and disconnect after 20 minutes. When we asked for a refund through cancellation department, that call went through, but they do not allow refunds over the phone and their Docusign’s never come to email to complete. In other words, you cannot get the refund they promise!

Answer me quickly. Why hasn’t some one responded to me on my original question. It seems the fall detection doesn’t work. Tom Whitney

After transitioning to full time care my 94 yr old mother quit using the Medical Guardian. We decided to cancel the service. We found they had added fall protection for an extra cost and were actually double billing for that service. I think the devise ended up costing close to 1000. a year according to credit card billing. I had to follow up on the cancel request. They said they didn’t receive my letter. I was told only then I could email w my request. They did reimburse for the double billing and charges after I canceled the service. That too took a follow up call. Check your invoicing. They will not check in on you.
