Very pleasant when I had a problem with my device. Walked me through the procedure so when (if) it happened again I would be able to correct the issue on my own.

There have been frequent falls in which the alarm has gone off and there has been quick response. However, there were two recent falls where the alarm did NOT go off. Perhaps the kind of fall made the difference in each case. The device is easy to get use to, and it would be highly recommended to anyone in need.

Hi Donald, Thank you for your feedback! While the Premium Guardian is designed to detect most falls, it unfortunately does not detect 100% of falls. That's why we always remind our clients to press the button after they've fallen if they are able to, even if you have fall detection. However, if you call our Client Services team at 1-800-313-1191, they will be able to test the system for you to ensure it is working properly. We hope this helps, Donald, and we hope you have a great day!

Hi Jim, We are very sorry to hear that you've had such a frustrating experience with your fall detection pendant. Fall detection pendants are very sensitive, but if yours continues to be oversensitive even after you reset it using a paperclip, please call our Client Services Team at 1-800-313-1191 and they will be able to help you resolve the issue. Again, we are sorry for your frustrations, Jim, but we hope this helped and that you have a great day!

My mother in law is using the standard model. Cell phone service is sketchy where she lives Verizon is the only reliable prllvider but is not available with your more advanced models.

My mother of 87 years old has this service. The only time we have used it was when she pushed the button accidentally. They called me when they could not reach her and I asked them to give me just a minute to make sure it was truly an emergency before we called Emergency Services. They offered to stay on the line with me until I could contact her. I would recommend this to anyone a very good service.

My 88 year old mother wishes to remain in her own place despite the fact that we have plenty of room to accommodate her. My siblings and I want to respect her wishes. My decision to purchase a medical alert system was prompted by her falling while at home alone (luckily, there were no serious consequences!). While I'm not convinced this is the best product on the market, it is serving it's purpose, for now. Mom has fallen since we've purchased the service and luckily was able to get up but the fall alert system failed her. Additionally, there have been a few times that while sleeping, the device activated and a call through the base system woke her out of a sound sleep. Needless to say, she was not happy. As soon as time permits, I will be exploring other options.

I don't have an outlet near my bed so I can't charge my phone overnight. I don't feel protected if my unit is in another room because I feel the most tipsy getting out of bed. Any suggestions? If I charge during the day what's the minimum number of hours to charge.
Response from Medical GuardianDec 13, 2016
Hi Bonnie, Thank you for reaching out, and we understand your concerns. To answer your question, the Premium Guardian's battery life lasts for 36 hours, and it takes 4 hours to fully charge. Would it be possible for you to charge it for 4 hours during the day? If not, our Client Services Team can be reached at 1-800-313-1191, and one of our friendly representatives will be able to find a solution that works for you and keeps you protected. Thank you again, Bonnie, and we hope you have a great day!

I am very pleased so far with the customer service and what is provided. I set this up for my mother so I am not actually the user of the system. Here are a few items that I hope you would consider; - An adjustable lanyard. My mother is only about 5 ft. tall and likes to wear the device around her neck, the device hangs near her belly button. Due to the location of the device she has accidentally depressed the button several times while bending over the sink and laundry machine. If the lanyard could be tightened after being placed over her head and raised to a mid sternum location I believe several of these accidental activations could be eliminated. - The addition of a vibratory signal upon activation would help my mother to know when the device has been activated. My mother does not hear very well even while wearing hearing aids and very poor when not. I am afraid she will not hear the reply from your staff and First Responders will be dispatched. Because of one accidental activation she no longer wears it to sleep and just keeps it by the bed on the charger. - So far my only complaint involves the accidental activation around 4:30AM where First Responders were dispatched and although it is in her profile that a key in available by the back door in the lock box. None of that was followed, the First Responders pounded on the front door until they woke up a 93 year old lady without her hearing aids. To say she was scared would be an understatement, she was still pretty shaken when my sister, her husband and I showed up shortly after the Responders left.

Hi Scott, Thanks for providing us with your feedback! This is really helpful to us as we're always looking for ways to improve our products, and we'd also like to address some of your concerns. Depending on the medical alert system your mother has, you may be able to change the lanyard to something that is more comfortable for her and one that doesn't cause as many accidental activations. Also, if you call our Client Services Team at 1-800-313-1191, they will be able to verify that the Lock Box correct location and combination is on your mother's file to ensure that emergency responders don't make that mistake again. We've already forwarded your review to our Products Manager so they can use your feedback accordingly and work to improve the quality of the unit. Thank you again, Scott, and we hope you have a great day!
