I got Maven (honestly not expecting much) because my boy is a Doberman and Dobermans are very prone to heart disease. I can safely say that this little gadget has surpassed my expectations and I sleep better at night knowing I can track my boys vitals (like respiratory rate) throughout the day and especially at night. Highly recommend to anyone who owns a cat or dog!

I ordered the Maven Pet collar from the other side of the globe, and I was genuinely surprised by how quickly it arrived. The app is also incredibly easy to use and set up. What impressed me most is that it actually detected when my cat started excessively scratching her head. Thanks to the alerts and monitoring, we caught a fungal infection spreading on her chin early and were able to treat it in time. Really impressed with both the technology and the overall experience.

I think you know what it feels like when your pet baby is diagnosed with something. I have a human child and it's similar. All the watching and waiting and trying to decipher if he was eating more or drinking less - if he has the same amount of energy. How was he sleeping? When our Smooth Collie, Moose, had his first seizure we were frantic. He was only two. We did all the tests and they came back negative. So that gave a tentative diagnosis of epilepsy, and recommended that we keep a close eye on him. That's when I found Maven with a regular Google search for "dog monitoring." The monitor goes right on his collar and the reports come to my phone every morning. It gives me an idea of what his heart and breathing are like. Just like a Fitbit it's not perfect but it would notice if his heart rate and his breathing went way up. Since epilepsy usually happens when a dog is at rest, it is a huge load off my mind to know that we have a way to tell if he's had another seizure. It can help us make decisions on when to start medication and if we need to do more to protect him while he sleeps. Thank you, Maven. Your product makes me feel safer.

Only giving 4 stars because of how often I need to charge the battery. Otherwise, I love the device. My dog was recently diagnosed with mitral valve disease and a grade 4 heart murmur. This was shocking and scary but the device helps my peace of mind. I love That it tracks his breaths & heart rate & alerts me of any changes. It’s truly been a game changer for us.

I love this. It’s like a fitness watch but for dogs. I love knowing how he’s sleeping, I check every morning first thing! He gets enough exercise now without overdoing it thanks for Maven. Our cocker spaniel has IVDD and spinal arthritis, so this purchase just makes sense for us. We want to know how he’s doing, beyond what he can communicate with us.

I have an older dog with heart disease and need to monitor his breathing rate every day. He makes that complicated by always sleeping under blankets. The Maven monitors his breathing rate through the day. This gives me peace of mind knowing I'll see any changes early. We also have one for our younger healthy dog so we can spot any concerns early. It's very easy to set up and use.

My dog's cardiologist mentioned Maven to me. She knows I am an obsessive record keeper on my Jack Russell who has MVD and needs her respiration monitored. I have been doing this for 3 years. So far I have been very impressed with how Maven works. It has sent notifications of activity and water consumption spikes. I haven't downloaded a report yet, but am looking forward to see what it contains. A suggestion I do have would be to include a text field to make observations and notes. Also something to monitor appetite and food consumption. All and all I am very happy with my decision to get Maven.
