Worst customer service ever, save yourself the time and buy your chair somewhere else! Ordered 2 months ago and still hasn't shipped, they don't communicate so I had to keep asking for updates on when it would ship and they kept saying next month. Update: Maddison seating commented that this isn't a legitimate review...yes it is and I can show my emails to prove it! Maybe focus your efforts on actually managing your orders!!!

Ordered a supposedly in stock chair at the beginning of December, with their site and order confirmation saying in stock items should ship in 10-14 days. By the start of January I had received zero communication from the company as to possible delays or any status on the order. I had to email them asking where the order was, and their response was it will be delivered mid to late January, despite specifically trying to order an in stock item. Filed a BBB complaint about the misleading advertising and poor communication. Their response to this was to outright cancel the order in retaliation. Save your money, time, and energy. Ordering from this company is a gamble that you'll ever actually receive your items, and if you do, it'll probably be next quarter.

They sent black chairs with black base rather than the silver we ordered. When I called they said the photo was for "stock purposes only". I pointed out that the chair was on their site in black as well and under a different sku and name, they admitted they had no silver. I was offered a discount and moved on. Then I ordered four more to match. Those arrived in yet another color, and totally used condition. I again emailed customer service and was told they can offer another $50 discount. I explained that the chairs were stained and damaged and I would not keep them if for free. I was then notified that I would be charged for return shipping. I explained that fraud is actually illegal and that they would charge for shipping could not possibly make sense to them and have since filed a complain with the FTC and was refunded by my credit card company after providing Madison Seating's emails and photos.

I ordered an office chair advertised as an "open box return" It came with one of the buttons (back tilt) not working , with scratches.It is likely an used chair. In order to return it they ask that you please a new order with them and charge extra $50. The only thing advertised on the web site is that the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. I am OK with paying the return shipping cost but definitely do not want to be forced to order again from the dishonest site.

By way of background, Madison Seating first screwed up an order I placed back in 2015. Their customer service rep (CSR) emailed me after that, to promise a discount or expedited shipping on 'any future order.' This month (January 2020), I placed an order with them for a new Herman Miller Aeron chair. I referenced that prior promise, and a CSR on the phone assured me they would honor this promise, and then the company followed up in writing with the promise of expedited shipping (not a discount). In reliance on this promise, I placed my order. But then they swiftly wrote to me, reneging on this promise, saying they won't expedite delivery... or do anything else as a make-good. The order is now cancelled. I cannot in good conscience recommend doing business with an organization that makes a written promise to a repeat customer twice, and then breaches that agreement and denies any further responsibility. My suggestion to you: find another online seller for your business furniture needs. I do not consider this company ethical, trustworthy or responsible. Nor are their "sale" prices astoundingly better than other sellers, at least not enough to justify the leap of faith necessary to count on them to follow through. Update: I see below a confusing "reply" that suggests this review is somehow "illegitimate"...? To be clear, I have the purchase receipt and email trail to support the story of my incredibly poor experience with Madison Seating. - B.R.

Same issue as many other reviewers on here. Ordered a Herman Miller chair three months ago and it still hasn't arrived. Deadlines they give for delivery keep getting missed as they keep changing their delivery time. They don't even answer their phone and tell you to email them. Wish we never ordered a chair from these scam artists.

I ordered a chair at the beginning of December. As other reviews have mentioned, the confirmation invoice said the chair could take 10-14 business days to process (ie ship). After over 20 days and no communication whatsoever I emailed to inquire about the status and was told the chair was scheduled to ship in about three weeks. I have still received no further communication and my product still hasn't shipped. I can not wait any longer and have asked them to cancel my order. Just to be clear, the lack of clear communication on their part is unacceptable. I am more concerned with the lack of transparency then the time it is taking. Were I told the shipping date could be months out or not predictable, I would have made my buying choice with this information. Instead I was led to believe that my item would ship out within 14 business days (about 3 weeks). When I read the 10-14 days shipping, I thought "no problem" that's a long time but it's clear. When I still had not received my item, nor any updated communication after 20 business days that was unacceptable. Now, the new deadline they gave me has come and gone, with again, no communication. Very unprofessional. Updated: I changed the review from 1 to 2 stars because my order was promptly cancelled with no hassle. Update #2: I changed the review back to 1 star since they are acusing me of making it up (see their response below). I seriously caution anyone against using this company, and I'm wondering about the legitamacy of the positive reviews on here, but I really have no way of knowing.

Madisonseating misrepresented which model chair was on offer. All photos consistently showed a particular model nor was there any mention in the ad that there was even a possibility that the model would be different. While they do provide a 30-day return policy, the advertised model was purchased specifically because of personal mobility issues that make processing a return personally challenging. Customer service was prompt but they didn't seem to feel they had done wrong by the customer, which was frustrating. It felt disingenuous.
