I enjoyed writing the research paper with my mentor, Serene Ho, who aided me throughly with my research and how best to overcome certain challenging aspects of obtaining factual and accurate information.

My Lumiere experience has genuinely been one of the most transformative academic experiences I’ve had! What made it so special was definitely the mentorship behind the research. Working so closely with a mentor who took my ideas seriously, challenged my thinking, and held me to a high intellectual standard completely changed the way I approach research. I learned how to structure rigorous arguments and refine my writing in ways I had never done before. Lumiere gave me confidence. Having a mentor who believed in me, pushed me, and created a space where I felt comfortable thinking out loud and asking difficult questions made me grow not only as a student, but as a person. I looked forward to every meeting, and by the end, I felt not only proud of the paper we produced, but proud of how much I had developed. It made me more certain that research is something I want to pursue at the highest level. The mentors are amazing, genuinely. I know that right now, I have a role model to look up to, and that is my Lumiere mentor

I’ll be honest — my experience was truly inspiring and meaningful. I believe that the success of any program depends on both the student and the mentor. When a student is motivated and willing to grow, and the teacher is supportive and experienced, real progress happens. The Lumiere Education program matched me with an excellent mentor who not only had strong knowledge in business but also shared his personal journey and insights. That inspired me deeply and helped me clarify my goals. I felt supported, challenged, and encouraged throughout the process. I’m truly grateful for this opportunity and happy that Lumiere provides such valuable experiences for motivated students.

Lumiere has been one of best experiences ever. At first going into it, I was a little nervous and wasn't sure what to expect, but as soon as my first call with my mentor was over, I knew I was in for a great journey. Writing a academic paper seems intimidating, but with the team I had, I was set up for success. I couldn't be more thankful for my mentor who really made my experience to be amazing. Building a relationship with my mentor is something I can cherish and be appreciative of, not only learning how to write a research paper from them, but the advice they have given me for my career goals. They are knowledgeable in the field your researching and I think it's important to take advantage of their expertise to better define your goals.

Through this program, I developed skills in conducting literature review, analyzing academic resources, and strengthen academic writing. The supporting materials provided by Lumiere was an essential tool and easy to navigate, maximizing my productivity throughout the program. The writing centers and Lumiere support team were crucial throughout the progress of developing my research paper. I am grateful for this program, thank you for an amazing experience.

Lumiere has been an extremely valuable experience for my academic path. The programme is well-structured in order to guide students with any kind of experience towards producing a professional research project. I found it especially helpful that the process was fragmented with clear guidelines so students don’t get overwhelmed by the workload. The programme manager has been eager to help with any arising issues or questions, along with the other staff at Lumiere. My mentor was a professional in his field and I really think the provided feedback helped me with my academic writing and research skills. I am now confident that I will not encounter major issues when doing academic research (now or later, in college). Overall, I recommend this programme to motivated students. It’s a great accessible opportunity that will open more doors later on
