Do not buy anything LIFX. I bought a neon flex, two string lights for our porch, and two flush mount lights for our house. The neon flex controller box broke within a year and they told me there was nothing they could do without a paper receipt. Really? Garbage company even worse product quality.

No default settings, impossible to get it to work. Zero support. If you buy a LIFX light after reading all the reviews you're a moron. All reviews are negative. Amazing! After contacting support I was given instructions that had nothing to do with the issue. Too bad if you've already bought one.

I have had constant connection issues with my LIFX bulb. I constantly have to reset the bulb to get it to reconnect. This time it want reconnect at all and I have reset it according to the app and website 5 times. There is NO real person customer support to talk to only an AI texting back and forth giving you the same answer to reset it but doesn’t work. I would never recommend or would never have bought it if I had known if there was NO customer support whatsoever if you need to talk with someone.

Absolutely one of the worst customers service experience. The DMV is better than Lifx support.

The light brightness and colour saturation is awesome but the app experience and the intelligence of the technology is really really bad. For example the line strip if you were to give it an effect such as morph so that blend into each other it will forget that somewhere between 5 to 30 minutes and just to not moving light. I contacted LIFX about this years ago and they said it’s an issue with Apple that the lights can’t maintain connection to the app after a little time. Despite this though that competitors have no issue with lights remembering special effects such as Tapo. It’s been years and the issue still exists. Also the lights respond slower than competitor lights. How is it Tapo that is $19 a light works better than the light I bought for $90

Been a Lifx user since the beginning and have reached the end of my tether. The lights are well made, have nice colours and are bright, but my god everything else fugging sucks. The app doesn't work a lot of the time. I end up stuck with very bright lights as I'm trying to go to bed, or stuck off or low during the day, and I have either turn it off at the switch or physically use other lights in my home. Add in the fact that they discontinued support for the first series of bulbs I bought, so that I can no longer connect them to wifi, completely bricking my products. Wish I had jumped ship sooner, it's a complete shit show and I'm sick of it.

Very expensive lighting, look great but connectivity reliability is absolutely awful- thousands spent WORST mistake we made. Avoid at all cost! No support whatsoever

I wish I had bought my bulbs from a quality brand. The bulbs are totally trash, they do not work occasionally, cannot reconnect them to the WiFi and basically useless. The App is even worse: very clunky and has lots of compatibility issues with iOS. The customer service are clueless, they do not know their own app or system, why are there at all? Spend your money elsewhere and avoid this company.
